2006 is when moeshit started going mainstream and they started pushing inappropriate comedy and pantsu into everything, so I stopped watching alltogether.

Any genre would do, it's all about the plot and the setting. I even enjoyed Akagi and it was about a guy sitting at the table playing mahjong.

I think you know god-tier anime when you see it.

I tried watching the new berserk, they reduced the grim atmosphere of hopelessness and the web of conspiracies into a retarded elf making jokes and ass shots of loli knight commander. What the fuck, man, I wish I never saw that.
