I have like 10-15 TB of anime that I'm never going to watch. I downloaded it because I thought it would keep me from being bored, but I was wrong. After maybe a year of not doing much but watching anime, I got bored of it.
I went to an anime convention and didn't even care for anything there. I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to capitalize on having knowledge about anime and being able to talk to people. But the thing is: I just don't want to talk about it.
I downloaded a bunch of manga. It's the same.
Maybe it's because they have no relevence to what I do. People have lives and anime has situations similar to their daily lives in them.
The anime I could relate to are those that question the world. Especially those that kids are exposed to the unjust world of adults, in which double standards and false justice are the norm. There's not a lot like that. It doesn't appeal to normies and it's generally too shallow for anime and manga. It's usually reserved for novels and long texts, neither of which I need anymore since I've already cut myself off from the mass cultural vein of society.
