Here is an article today about a priest in Wisconsin who is speaking about an attack on religious liberty. Based apparently on a last minute decision of the Dane County health department that despite Trump's declaration of churches being essential, the county health department is infringing on the first amendment rights to say the least and ordering - not suggesting and not recommending - order under threat of a hefty fine that churches are only allowed 50 people this weekend instead of the previously agreed 25% capacity. This order affects ALL faith communities and religious denominations. What authority could Dane County WI health department officials think they have to override the Presidential mandate for free and open expression this weekend in particular of religious freedom, more prayer needed in an ailing country, and with the audacity to back up their order with the threat of imposing a discriminatory rule and huge fine. Can you imagine people are going to drive around to churches throughout a county and sit there and make head counts to check attendance numbers??!! The huge fine is PER SERVICE for every count of non-compliance.
