What the ratings actually are shown to be is beyond me. But I will tell you I am a Nielsen viewer. They pay me every 6 months to have a device hooked up to the HDMI input to me tv that apparently reads a inaudible signal to determine what I'm watching. Every 40+ minutes or so, it asks if I am still the one watching. I live alone so there are no other possible viewers in the house. So a displaying comes up and says, "Are you still watching?" and I push a yes button on their remote. This in turn is hooked up to their own wifi router that transmits what is playing on my tv. No. It could be a DDoS attack that is being mitigated by blocking certain IP address ranges where the attack is coming from. Such blocks could prevent legit anons from interacting with the site. That is probably the most common way to deal with DDoS attacks.
