Researchers Discover Android Surveillance Malware Built by Sanctioned Russian Firm
Mobile security firm Lookout has discovered a new set of sophisticated custom Android surveillanceware tools developed and distributed by a Russian-based company.
Dubbed Monokle, the malware is built by Special Technology Centre, Ltd, a Russian firm sanctioned by the U.S. Government in connection to interference in the 2016 US presidential elections.
The tools were discovered last year and appear to be part of a targeted set of campaigns. They provide attackers with remote access Trojan (RAT) functionality, feature advanced data exfiltration techniques, and can install attacker-specified certificates on infected devices, to facilitate man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks.
STC is developing both offensive and defensive Android security software, including an Android antivirus solution, which Lookout’s security researchers were able to link to Monokle, a limited set of applications that are likely highly targeted.
The Monokle malware family can remount the system partition to install attacker certificates, hook itself to appear invisible to Process Manager, retrieve calendar information, get the salt used when storing a user’s password, receive messages via keywords delivered via SMS or from designated control phones, interact with office apps, accept commands, and remove itself from the device.
The apps also include extensive spyware capabilities, being able to log keystrokes, reset PIN, record audio, make calls, record calls, sent text messages, retrieve contacts, get device information, retrieve emails, take photos and videos, track the device location, take screenshots, list installed apps, retrieve browser history, retrieve call history, collect account info and retrieve messages for messaging apps (WhatsApp, Instagram, VK, Skype, and more), and execute arbitrary shell commands.
Some unused commands found in several samples of Monokle suggest that an iOS version of the client is also in the works.
“Monokle is an advanced mobile surveillanceware that compromises a user’s privacy by stealing personal data stored on an infected device and exfiltrating this information to command and control infrastructure,” Lookout notes.

Reverse Stock Split

National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) investigator Tom Anderson told The Daily Caller News Foundation, “It’s self-dealing. It’s taking the charity’s resources and turning them into personal profits.”
Adding, “IRS law doesn’t allow a charity for this purpose. This isn’t for the public interest; this is for her personal interest. You can’t do that.”
In May NLPC filed a complaint with the IRS against Rockeymoore Cummings’s charity and LLC alleging that companies with interests before the House Oversight Committee are buying influence from Chairman Elijah Cummings, through their donations to the charity.
The Maryland Congressman on his latest financial disclosure report listed his wife’s LCC as an asset worth between $250,000 to $500,000
However, on Friday Rockeymoore Cummings was hit with a series of new allegations stemming from her original financial disclosure of self-dealing and perjury.

According to the Daily Caller News Foundation, an additional complaint filed with the IRS by a watchdog group called The National Legal and Policy Center amended its original May 20th complaint against Maya Rockeymoore Cummings’s charity, alleging that the nonprofit’s along with her for-profit company may have personally and “illegally benefited” her husband
NLPC also alleges that Rockeymoore Cummings may have committed perjury by answering “no” in her charity’s 2015 tax return when asked if it conducted business with an entity owned by an officer or director of the charity.
“As a Director, Officer and Key Employee of CGPS at the same time she was the sole Governor of [Global Policy Solutions, LLC], Maya Rockeymoore Cummings should have answered ‘yes,’” the NLPC’s complaint states. “The false entry appears to be willful. Form 990 was signed by Maya Rockeymoore Cummings ‘under penalties of perjury.”
Scott Walter, the president of the conservative watchdog group Capital Research Center, said, “It’s a red flag for a powerful member like Elijah Cummings to have a family member receiving money from entities with issues before his powerful committee.”
Both the congressmen and his wife have refused to discuss the allegations with the Washington Examiner or explain the overlap between companies with interests before his committee and donors to his wife’s foundation.
The complaint also asks the IRS to investigate the “shared leadership,” “integrated operations,” and “shared address and physical facilities” of her two companies.

Baker I would say this is NOTABLE. It is a very valid idea and the picture does seem to show perimeter lines around "door". I know there can be expansion joint lines in the concrete pour however there are lines to the left and right at the very front but none at the "door" area. Why not?? Anons something I’ve noticed recently with certain news stories on the web and the respective URL’s.
It appears that there is a unique identifier at the end of the URL of some news articles which could be used to de-anon people who share news links when digging. The extra string of numbers or numbers and letters could just be a random hash that is associated with a certain IP address or an actual hash of the IP address of the visitor which could be decoded. Also could just be something as simple as a number counter but still associated with a visitors IP.
If any cyber fags out there please look into this. I know there have been lots of privacy laws enacted so it may just be their way of getting around using cookies but only works when a user shared the link with unique identifier in URL elsewhere.

"As Muslims, you have been under attack since day one of this administration. We need to stand in solidarity and common purpose," she said. Ken Martin, the Chairman of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party, added that today's Republican Party was no longer that of his father and grandfather but a party of "hate and intolerance" against which the Democratic Party needed to stand as a "bulwark".
"We wanted to let you know that we made every attempt to invite our Republican partners as well and because of scheduling conflicts they were unable to come; after the conference, we will attempt to reach out to them," Barber said.
Omar, who spoke during the conference's opening discussion on the effects of Islamophobia in civic and political discourse, was central to the conference's discussions of racism and bias in the Trump administration. Arriving shortly after the discussion began, Omar received a standing ovation from attendees. Most of the speakers that morning also declared their solidarity with the representative, who has become a target for the ire of Trump and his supporters, who at a recent rally in North Carolina chanted, "send her back"

"I want to make sure that the next time someone is in an audience, they will ask the question they will ask of any politician and will not come with the accusation that we might support something that is so abhorrent, so evil, so vile," she said.
"What we look for and what this whole conversation is about, is that not only do we have internalized fears about what we might believe but that we also don't have assumptions about what our value basis might be because of where we might come from," Omar added. "I would like not just for you but for everyone to know that if you want us to speak as politicians, then you treat us as such."

Did the US Navy Build Super Secret Undersea Lairs for Its Nuclear Submarines?
Point Sur is 600 feet of tough rock facing Pacific rollers that come 6,000 miles to pound the central California coast. Like the 19th-century lighthouse that marks the Point, the now-derelict compound of the former Naval Facility Point Sur evokes another era.
And it evokes a mystery — one involving secret underground naval bases, high-tech submarines and Cold War nuclear brinkmanship.
As late as the 1960s, Navy technicians and their families at Point Sur monitored undersea listening posts used to track Soviet subs. According to one legend, it wasn’t merely hydrophones the Navy ran from Point Sur, but submarines themselves based in giant man-made caverns dug into the rock.
By 1966 the two surges into outer space and “inner space” were at their flood tide. While NASA gathered ever more momentum with monthly Gemini flights and a new Mission Control, the success of Sealab II and the CONSHELF III underwater habitat led to a presidential commission on oceanography and a bigger undersea commitment.
The Navy’s efforts to recover a lost hydrogen bomb off the coast of Spain that year and the loss of the attack sub USS Thresher three years before had brought new funding and discipline to deep submergence systems. In such heady times, dreams of colonizing the continental shelf within a generation seemed like sober predictions.
It was in this environment that C.F. Austin of the China Lake Naval Ordnance Test Station proposed the Rock-Site concept: manned undersea installations excavated into the rock of the seafloor. By applying well-understood principles employed for decades by the mining industry, Austin proposed that large bases could be constructed and operated anywhere suitable bedrock occurred in the ocean, at any depth.
Austin realized that even with mid-1960's technology, it would be possible to sink a wide shaft into the sea floor, seal and drain it, then use it as a staging area for further excavation. A tunnel-boring machine could be lowered into the shaft in pieces and then assembled to bore out more tunnels, including one for a small modular nuclear reactor much like those used at Camp Century in Greenland and McMurdo Base in Antarctica.
There’s very little hype in Austin’s report; the bulk of it is taken up with documentation of tunneling methods and mining operations conducted under the sea floor. These often follow seams and drifts underground as they continue offshore.
According to Austin, one Nova Scotia mine, Dominion Coal’s Cape Breton operation, consisted of “a complex of many consolidated undersea mines ranging in depth from 200 to 2,700 feet below the sea floor, with a water cover of 60 to 100 feet. These mines span an area of approximately 75 square miles and presently employ some 4,100 men in the undersea workings.”
Among the benefits of Rock-Site, Austin noted its immunity to weather and currents, its shirt-sleeve environment and its (very) controlled access. And Austin was not thinking small. “Structures within the sea floor can easily be made large and comfortable enough to permit the quartering of crews and their families for extended periods of time,” he wrote, “and can be made large enough to serve as supply and repair depots for large submersibles.”
Recent research on hardened missile basing concepts have proven various techniques for creating submarine-sized structures in hard substrates. The Air Force’s development of underground silos, subways and central commands produced real-world hardware and experience with construction techniques.
In the 1970s the Los Alamos National Lab investigated an atomic rock-drilling concept called the Nuclear Subterrene, which like Rock-Site sounds like something out of Johnny Quest, but also really happened. One wonders what might have happened had the Navy put its nuclear expertise to work drilling holes in the ocean floor.
The Rock-Site concept also bore much in common with NASA’s designs for underground moon bases. Very likely all three concepts — invulnerable bastions, space outposts and ocean bases — would have shared solutions to issues ranging from environmental control to crew morale.
Though it’s not atomic-powered, the world’s largest tunnel-boring machine is about to drill a two-mile-long tunnel beneath Seattle wide enough to hold an Ohio-class sub.

The Mueller investigation did not go as planned. On Wednesday, the well-respected and highly regarded Bob Mueller testified before Congress. No one seemed to have noticed that Mueller is old. He came across as out of his element and unsure of his own report.
Democrats were able to get Mueller to confirm both that he did not exonerate the President and that a sitting President could be indicted after leaving office. That was all. What they hoped would lead them down the road to impeachment instead led cars across America off the road as drivers listening to Mueller fell asleep at the wheel.
The reality is it does not matter. American voters can rarely remember what they had for dinner last night. In 16 months, they will not remember Mueller's testimony, which most people did not even watch. The Democrats needed a galvanizing moment. They did not get it. Instead, they will now fight among themselves over whether to proceed with impeachment. Mueller did not give them a clear path forward. The day before the Mueller hearing, CNN promoted it as a "blockbuster" hearing. The news media and the Democrats should have remembered Blockbuster went out of business.
The Southern District of New York investigation did not go as planned either. Following the Mueller report's release, Democrats pivoted to this investigation. The United States attorney had been investigating the President's payment to a woman and various Michael Cohen and Trump Organization deals. Democrats and the press yet again assured us this was a very big and, in the words of some, "game changing" investigation. They assured us indictments were imminent. The investigation is now over. No indictments are forthcoming.
Finally, the press and Democrats working together have hit on a final effort to undermine the President: the race card. They have long maintained that the President and anyone who votes for the President are racist bigots. You would be hard-pressed to find a reporter in Washington who is not convinced the President sows racial discord.
Unfortunately for the Democrats, it almost seems like the President is smart enough to know how the left will overplay its hand on this and drive more people into his camp. Earlier this year, the press defamed students from a Catholic school in Covington, Kentucky. The Washington Post and other outlets seized on false claims that the students, wearing "Make America Great Again" caps, had hurled racial slurs at an American Indian. Selectively edited videos were circulated. News reports were broadcast. It turned out to be "fake news." The students are now suing various media outlets, and deservedly so.
Just last week, an African American Democrat state representative in Georgia claimed a man told her to go back to where she came from after he caught her with dozens of items in the 10-items-or-fewer express line at a grocery store. The media blew up that story, too.
But eyewitnesses from the grocery store now claim it was the state representative telling the Hispanic man to go back to where he came from after he confronted her and called her a "lazy SOB" for using the express line. The state representative is wobbling on her story now.
Every time the left and the media sensationalize stories, the stories blow up in their faces. It builds distrust in them and reveals their contempt for ordinary Americans. They keep firing at the President and shooting themselves. They have become the President's best friends in his reelection quest.

After high school I did lots of travelling and fell in with some folks (a beautiful girl and her friends) who were fond of going to see the Grateful Dead and Phish. Before I know it I'm on the bus and hitting up shows all over the US. There was always this really cool old bus that was in the lots at every show. It was the Twelve Tribes looking for recruits. The one rule we had as a crew was to never, ever eat any food that was offered by the Twelve Tribes people and under no circumstances to ever get on their bus. It was common knowledge that they would grab spun out people who ate a little too much acid or other substances and drive off with them after the shows. Sometimes you would see someone who disappeared from a parking lot of an arena where one of these bands played, weeks later across the country and they were wide-eyed and doing the work of this cult. Completely brainwashed.
When I first encountered these folks I thought it was some kind of joke and they were all just playing. After observing them through one particular summer tour, seeing them every few days I realized it was real. I saw with my own eyes preying on unsuspecting young people. The Dead and Phish used to attract many young folks…. lots of runaways, misfits, etc…. It was easy for them to invite a spun kid on the bus for a drink of water and some food. One thing I always heard them say to folks who were walking by the bus is that they had an awesome library of book and to just come on in and take a seat, rest and read a book.
Those were strange days indeed.
It became normal to warn people of these folks. STAY WAY FROM THE BUS. DON"T GET ON THE BUS
