I ran across this incidentally while trying to shut up these idiots claiming UFOs/DEW weapons caused Louisiana and NYC transformer booms. You guys think there's a correlation? If POTUS needed some military support CONUS this seems like the unit ready and waiting to do the job!
The I Corps, nick named the “Eye Corps”, basically fills gaps in troop strength when a regular unit needs to go stateside. The unit logo for this unit is a black circle inside a white circle with a black background (see graphic). They also directly supporting Operation Noble Eagle (CONUS defense), providing what is called “Full Spectrum Operations”.
Full Spectrum Operations: The Army defines full spectrum operations as the combination of offensive, defensive, and either stability operations overseas or civil support operations on U.S. soil).
After I saw the unit insignia I was intrigued enough to dig further and found out something very interesting about the structure of the unit and its troop composition. Unique among Army units, I Corps has about 20,000 active duty personnel with an additional 20,000 in reserve status. Even stranger than that; the Corps comprises of literally every single function the Army offers. From Infantry units to Artillery, Air Cavalry, Military Police, Military Intelligence…everything that comprises the Army as a whole I Corps has a microcosm of within its unit.
