Anons, I have been on a semi-hiatus and haven't posted much, although I follow every day.

It hit a personal nerve as I was reviewing the recent notes and I am wondering if there may be some urgency.

The quotation notes that both Tucker Carlson and Matt Tabibi happened to recall Ceausescu in the past few days.
If you follow QR assiduously, you might have seen both mentions, or maybe you saw one or both in situ or maybe you happened to think of Ceausescu on your own!
Good... we sort of think alike!
But also good if that's news... team effort!
But the anon isn't just thinking out loud... he's repeating something from a guy named "Mile Matthis" (or a "character" so named)...

This guy has been discussed before on QR as a potential cabal "comms channel" and/or "limited hangout".
Now I must admit that those aren't really "my topics".
Others probably know much more about that stuff than I do.
But this guy Matthis seems WAY off. Look here:

There is more to that discussion... that blogger seems to be a very dastin guy who wrote some Hollywood scripts.
He focuses VERY carefully on the language Mathis uses and concludes that he is FULL OF SHIT or more likely some cabal "character" written by a team.
Mathis purports to be some sort of eccentric supergenius, but everything seems "off" to me.
That said, I want to be tolerant of such people and that has been my attitude since I first bookmarked him years ago.
Still, he seems very off, even now as we have so many rather interesting characters joining the fight.
Here is a big "tell" for me:
Matthis says: "In case you forgot, he [Ceausescu] is the Romanian dictator allegedly murdered in an uprising in 1989."
This is a BULLSHIT sentence that is intentionally designed to appeal to and conflate two audiences.
There are some younger readers who simply will not know who Ceausescu is.
But NOBODY reading this stuff who remembers him will have forgotten him! NOT ONE!
And yet some who perfectly well remember the Romanian Revolution will not have read that many have concluded it was really a palace coup.
In short, many astute observers concluded that insiders in the Romanian security services decided to "sacrifice" the head man (and woman) to save themselves.
On some level that is very likely true.
But the Romanian Revolution wasn't "fake"... the PEOPLE rose up and life got WAY better for them!
And the Ceausescu's were almost certainly KILLED.
I have NEVER seen anyone actually argue that their execution was faked... why would it be?
If it was really a palace coup, they would HAVE to be killed.
So why is "Miles Matthis" acting like we should "know" that they weren't really killed?
Is it because he is cultivating an appearance as an all-knowing oracle and setting up roadblocks to dissuade "naive followers" from objecting?
Now for the "fun" part... Matthis is suggesting that the "cabal" is setting up military forces in Canada or New Zealand to "Ceausescu" Justin or horseface.
Or is he actually giving orders?
Or is he seeking approval? Some think the "Satanists" must gain "approval" before they do their dirty deeds.
(And the goal will be to "sacrifice" the pols and protect Soros/Roths etc... actually he says Gates/Fauci/Schwab not Soros/Roths... all of them obvious puppets)
I don't profess to have any knowledge of "cabal comms", but this all just strikes me as VERY VERY suspicious.

Russia Says It Chased US Submarine Out Of Its Territorial Waters
Russia's military on Saturday announced it had chased a US submarine from Russian waters in the far east, near the Pacific Kuril islands-cap#1
Likely it will be contested by the Pentagon side that the submarine was ever in "Russian waters", however, as the region is also claimed by Japan.
According to Reuters, "The Russian military said on Saturday it used 'appropriate means' to make a U.S. submarine leave Russian waters in the far east after the vessel ignored a Russian request to leave, Interfax news agency reported." Russia's military said it had been conducting naval drills at the time of the incident, and at a moment tensions are boiling after the White House on Friday accused Putin of making the decision to invade Ukraine imminently. "The submarine was detected near the Pacific Kuril islands as Russia conducted naval exercises, the military was quoted as saying," the report noted.

Russia further says its military summoned the US defense attache in Moscow to complain about the incident. "A defense attache with the US Embassy in Moscow was summoned to the Russian Defense Ministry because a US Navy submarine has violated a Russian border," the defense ministry said. The issue remains that US ships do not recognize the region where the incident happened as belonging to Russia's sovereign territory.
Russia (at that time as the Soviet Union) has exercise de facto control over the Kurils since it seized them in the final days of World War II. The United States recognizes Japan's sovereignty over the islands, however. Thus the US Navy retains that it can conduct "freedom of navigation" in the area.

Russia issues warning to US
Another round of negotiations between Moscow and Washington on Ukraine has been held ahead of crucial talks
According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Lavrov stressed that “the propaganda campaign launched by the United States and its allies about ‘Russian aggression’ against Ukraine pursues provocative goals,” which, in his opinion, involved encouraging Kiev “to sabotage the Minsk agreements,” as well as “harmful attempts to resolve the ‘Donbass problem’ by force.”
The foreign minister also said the US and NATO ignored key provisions of the Russian proposals for European security, including a ban on the alliance’s eastward expansion.
“It was emphasized that these issues would be a focus point of our review of the documents received from the US and NATO, which will be brought to the attention of colleagues,” the foreign ministry said following the conversation, which was initiated by the American side.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its head, Sergey Shoigu, had held a phone conversation with his US counterpart, Lloyd Austin. However, it did not reveal any details of the talks, saying that the ministers had discussed “security matters of mutual interest.”
The US Department of Defense also issued a brief statement, saying, “Russia’s force build-up in Crimea and around Ukraine” was discussed.
These talks, as well as the upcoming negotiations between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden, come as international tensions over the supposed ‘Russian invasion of Ukraine’ – something Moscow categorically denies – are quickly rising. John Durham Drops a 'Shock and Awe' Filing About Spying on Donald Trump
Even if we don’t hear much about him anymore, John Durham is still hard at work. As RedState reported over the last several months, the investigation into misconduct surrounding the investigation into Donald Trump and Russia has only heated up since Joe Biden took office.
The first major shoe to drop was the indictment of Michael Sussman, who was an intermediary for Hillary Clinton digging up dirt on Donald Trump. In Sussman’s case, he lied about who he was working for and misled the FBI regarding the now-debunked Alfa-Bank story.
But given the vast involvement of other individuals working for the infamous Perkins Coie law firm, which Clinton used as a proxy to smear Trump with false claims of Russian collusion, Durham’s investigation was always likely to go further. We’ve seen hints of that recently, but his latest filing is a true “shock and awe” moment.
According to Durham, who is clearly trying to signal at this point that he’s got the goods on a lot of people, Trump was not just spied on. Rather, he was actually spied on while president by outside allies of Perkins Coie, from Trump Tower to the actual Office of the President.
This wasn't limited to the Office of the President of the U.S.
They also exploited data from Trump Tower, another Trump building, and a "healthcare provider."

This blows Watergate out of the water and makes it look like child’s play. Only in the current hyper-partisan environment, where Democrats can literally get away with anything, is this not a major national scandal. Here you have associates of Hillary Clinton, and allies of the law firm she was contracting to get dirt on Trump, using government channels to spy on him. And not just during the campaign, but after he became president.
The fact that all of this has only been exposed via Durham’s special counsel investigation is yet more evidence of just how corrupt the DOJ and FBI are. These facts had to have been known throughout Trump’s presidency, yet no one talked? That just doesn’t add up, and it completely vindicates Trump, who has long maintained he was being spied on.
The last question here is how long Durham is left to his own whims. As he gets closer and closer to the prize, will the Biden administration step in to shut him down? That would certainly be terrible optics, but Biden hasn’t exactly shown a penchant for caring about optics lately.
Regardless, Hillary Clinton was everything some suspected she was. Will there be accountability for her and not just her lackeys? I guess we’ll find out.

The 20 Internet Giants That Rule The Web
With each passing year, an increasingly large segment of the population no longer remembers images loading a single pixel row at a time, the earsplitting sound of a 56k modem, or the early domination of web portals.
Many of the top websites in 1998 were news aggregators or search portals, which are easy concepts to understand. Today however, as Visual Capitalist's Nick Routley details below, brand touch-points are often spread out between devices (e.g. mobile apps vs. desktop) and a myriad of services and sub-brands (e.g. Facebook’s constellation of apps). As a result, the world’s biggest websites are complex, interconnected web properties.
The visualization below, which primarily uses data from ComScore’s U.S. Multi-Platform Properties ranking, looks at which of the internet giants have evolved to stay on top, and which have faded into internet lore.

The Biden administration opened the door for the HUNTER Act when it rolled out a $30 million program to make sure drug addicts do not harm themselves. In addition to condoms, syringes and fentanyl strips, so-called “smoking kits” will reportedly be distributed to drug users through the program.
The Biden administration has said that claim is incorrect, but Bishop is not buying it.

For millions of curious people the late ’90s, the iconic AOL compact disc was the key that opened the door to the World Wide Web. At its peak, an estimated 35 million people accessed the internet using AOL, and the company rode the Dotcom bubble to dizzying heights, reaching a valuation of $222 billion dollars in 1999.
AOL’s brand may not carry the caché it once did, but the brand never completely faded into obscurity. The company continually evolved, finally merging with Yahoo after Verizon acquired both of the legendary online brands. Verizon had high hopes for the company—called Oath—to evolve into a “third option” for advertisers and users who were fed up with Google and Facebook.
Sadly, those ambitions did not materialize as planned. In 2019, Oath was renamed Verizon Media, and was eventually sold once again in 2021.
A City of Gifs and Web Logs
As internet usage began to reach critical mass, web hosts such as AngelFire and GeoCities made it easy for people to create a new home on the Web.
GeoCities, in particular, made a huge impact on the early internet, hosting millions of websites and giving people a way to actually participate in creating online content. If it were a physical community of “home” pages, it would’ve been the third largest city in America, after Los Angeles.
This early online community was at risk of being erased permanently when GeoCities was finally shuttered by Yahoo in 2009, but luckily, the nonprofit Internet Archive took special efforts to create a thorough record of GeoCities-hosted pages.

Anon just learned about "tesseract-ocr" (Linux package; anon uses Ubuntu 20.04).
Anon saves a lot of stuff via Flameshot.
But the names are all e.g. "Screenshot from 2022-02-12 20-11-04.png"
Thus difficult to "find stuff".
Decided to see if there was a way to automate "getting text out of my images" for instance process every *.png and write *.txt, so if I do a search and a .txt file matches, I can just open/copy the corresponding .png file.

Hungary's right-wing nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban has hinted at the possibility of his country leaving the European Union -- the first time he has mentioned such an outcome. Speaking in an annual address that this year marked the start of his campaign for Hungary's parliamentary elections on April 3, Orban said the EU is waging "a holy war, a jihad" under the slogan of the rule of law. At the same time, Orban told his supporters in Budapest on February 12 that the EU should show "tolerance" toward Hungary. Otherwise, Orban said, it would not be possible to continue on a common path. Orban had repeatedly attacked what he called the "bureaucrats in Brussels" in the past, but held back threats to leave. Hungary and Poland had filed a complaint against the mechanism adopted in December 2020 that would see countries that violate rule-of-law principles cut off from funds from the common EU budget. The ECJ is due to deliver its ruling on February 16. EU bodies and human rights organizations accuse Orban, who has ruled Hungary since 2010, of assaulting democracy and the rule of law. Orban railed against the accusations, saying, "For them, the rule of law is a means by which they want to knead us into something that resembles them."
However, Orban said, Hungary wanted to keep the EU together "despite growing cultural alienation." That is why Budapest has made "offers of tolerance" to Brussels on several occasions, he said. "There is no other solution, only tolerance. This is the only way we can find a common path," Orban continued. 11-member Saudi gang gets jail term for money laundering
Eleven people, including nine expats, have been sentenced to jail term in Saudi Arabia on charges of laundering SR10 billion ($2.67 billion), reported state news agency SPA.
An official source at the economic crimes investigations wing at the Public Prosecution revealed the involvement of a gang of 11 members (two citizens and nine residents) in perpetrating money laundering crimes, violations to the concealment law through using several commercial entities and their branches in receiving and transferring money from unknown sources from their bank accounts,
it stated.
The Public Prosecution investigation filed a suit against the perpetrators and an initial verdict was issued by the specialized court with imprisonment terms of a total of 52 years and fines of SR62.5 million, stated the source.
The money was confiscated along with the assets worth SR1.67 million from the accused.
The expat members of the gang will be deported after serving their jail terms while the Saudi gang members will be banned from travel for periods similar to their sentences.
The source said that the public prosecution embarked on procedures of objecting the terms issued upon an order to stiffen sentences against the criminals, in realization of the public interest to protect the local economy and deter all those who plan to tamper with the financial security in banking transactions, the SPA report added.
