It's simple. To further give local business a leg up on others, make all goods exempt from taxes if:

A) they are made in the USA

B) of US-sourced materials (or some high proportion.)

C) Made, from stem to stern, not just "assembled."

D)The packaging is all sourced from US producers and shipping material manufacturers, not "assemblers" or "molders" but "Got the materials right here in the USA, and made the packaging here in the USA"

E) Entirely made by American citizens.

Of course, this would mean most foods, if they are even taxed.

To avoid businesses being moved out-of-state so state politicians could then claim sales tax on them because they are from a different state, or whatever, then make it so NO state sales tax is enforced on goods made entirely IN America, with American materials, BY Americans.

No state taxes, no local taxes, and no federal taxes on them at all.

While you're at it, cut off all trade and travel with China.

Could America survive if all trade with China was ended, and all Chinese passport holders were ejected from Congress?

This is a very good idea and quite plausible I might add in this current political environment.

If this Corona hoax had one result: completely breaking all ties with China, it would have a fantastically positive outcome.

Think Trump has the backing from big biz to do it?

Please, China, attack the USA in the South China sea or ANYWHERE. It will be your financial extinction.

AT the very least, slap 200 percent tariffs on China, plus a 100,000 dollar-per-shipping-container tax on anything from China.

And make them pay in GOLD.

It's about time the whore quit acting like the pimp.

LOL I read about that recently. Copper bars with thin gold plating.

Fake as a round-eyed Chinese celebrity?

I ordered stuff from China as a trial balloon in early May. 8 weeks later it's just entering the US. I normally can't afford US goods due to the high Democrat taxes, high cost of living, and low wages. But I'll never order from China again.

That's not easy. There are still sales taxes on good sold which the states set. Plus in some states/cities there are business taxes on Value Added at the business level. (I asked our accounting dept what the Value Added number was for.)

Trump already made the tariffs on Chinese goods the same as tariffs China puts on US goods, so he leveled the playing field. Plus I noticed the prices on Aliexpress are going up, sometimes 50-80%. And US customs seems to be holding on to all items from China to US. It took 8.5 weeks to get my package so I'm not ordering from China anymore. It takes too darn long!

<p>In any case there's some severe bottleneck at US customs right now.

I wouldn't want to be talking about "evening the playing field" with a country that uses functionally slave labor and is a Marxist dictatorship.

I would be more interest in no longer having any financial interactions with them, so declaring war on them by not giving them another cent, making them unable to have any property or dealings with America, and going back to where they belong.

China is at war with the world. It's time someone stood up and said "Nope."

Nevada has no state sales tax. There are other states that do the same.

Nevada has no corporate taxes.

It can be attractive to lure a business to your otherwise-barren-and-boring state, that's for sure.
