Q could be using VPN chaining/cascading in addition to other methods of obfuscation of his network route (traceroute)

Such as "Designated Q-posting only Laptop" -------> Public Wifi / Cash-bought 4G smartphone burner mobile hotspot -------->VPN paid for via cryptocurrency------>TOR or Proxychains------> "Virtual Shield" VPN
