The United States is NOT a democracy. People stationed outside of the continental US can use absentee ballots. Mail-in ballots are/and will be a recipe for fraud. People that do not understand the basic idea that the US is a Constitutional Republic and not a democracy should not be allowed to vote.

Please re-read my post Anon. I have NO PROBLEM with legitimate ABSENTEE BALLOTS, such as those issued to the military, those who know they won't be in their state to vote on time, etc. The PROBLEM is the 'mail in ballots' that were randomly sent to every person, citizen or not, alive or not, at the same address or not, and with multiple copies mailed. THAT is/was the problem.

They don't just accept any mail that comes through. They have receipt systems.
If you managed to get two ballots and send them both in, they don't count both.
If you vote in person then they receive a postal vote from you, it doesn't get counted.
