Muhammed Ali was a brash, loudmouthed, braggadocio-puffing prize fighter in his prime.
His favorite maneuver, which he coined the term "Rope a dope," was to lean back on the ropes, often with his forearms held up in front, tightly together, vertically, and let his opponent spend his fury pummeling his tough, well-muscled, but tactically (as in points scored) absolutely useless forearms.
It was not exciting boxing to watch, as Ali seemed kind of cowardly and foolish. But, it was brilliant. He let his opponents "punch themselves out" scoring zero-point hits on his forearms with their big, well-padded 16 ounce boxing gloves (heavier is safer for the opponent)
However, as his not-too-scholarly opponents fell for it over and over, expressing frustration that he would not "come out and fight," Ali would conserve his energy and finish the fight on his already-exhausted opponents with a late-fight flurry of punches and offensive tactics.
What was funny was that his opponents never ever thought of doing exactly the same to Ali or just backing off and leaving him there looking stupid when he lazily leaned on the ropes, conserving his energy. He used his forearms as a shield, and they were too dumb to imitate his winning style. (Pride? Stubbornness?)
To this day, Donald John Trump is doing this exact thing to the Deep State. He has more fight in his nut sack than the entire deep state does in all their arsenals of aggressively homosexual newscasters, politicians, "civil rights" murderers of black children, traitor generals, traitor Supreme Court justices etc.
The underestimate Trump on so many levels. He has ALWAYS played this game. I recognize it because I used to play this game as a child. For some of us, the cower-(or bumble, or stutter, or fall down, or look clumsy)-then-destroy routine is one of our favorite thing in life, so we recognize it in others.
One influential person I know said that he despised the idea of Trump being President, because he had eaten with him and he was "A complete idiot."
Trump has been playing the brash, loud, womanizing egotist for so long that he had almost everyone on Earth fooled. Meanwhile, interrupting a mugging, giving forgiven loans to black entrepreneurs, advancing women's opportunities, etc, all in the background.
The Deep State keeps drooling down their chins thinking "Aha, this latest scANDALLLL will get him!" and the "scandal" is one that Trump and his men have set up well in advance to make them look like complete drooling idiots, and let them walk right into it. Trump is like a monkey trap with many, many, little fist-sized holes in it. So many stupid monkeys reaching in, grabbing the walnut (-sauce, those despicable childfuckers) or whatever, and never again being able to be free from the trap.
He will continue to do this for his entire reign, which may even be as short as four more years. They will continue blunting their swords on his armor, continue exhausting themselves on his forearms, and continue popping up and showing their true colors.
Many of them don't know that he appointed them to high positions specifically to leave them unattended with the cookie jar, or so they thought. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
Rope on, dopes. I will enjoy the nationwide simultaneous broadcasts of your confessions, the video of your crimes, and your very condign executions.
Keep pounding. You won't all be gifted the mercy of lethal injections, but when we are through with you, you will be begging to die.
