Every language sounds better than French. The French are the ultimate bastards of history. They spent centuries forcing their own to accept tyranny and spreading it abroad, then had a revolution but still believed their leaders should rule over the rest of Europe, and when that didn't work they became lazy socialists. When their arrogance blew up in their faces, they came running to the British begging for help, and as soon as they were out of the hole they went straight back to gluttony. They think they're the best but they haven't won a real fight since the 1600s. Next time they piss off an industrial country enough France will be wiped off the map and humanity will be better for their absence.

Long ago I saw an advertisement for leather jackets. It advised you not speak French. Not as the Parisians did, at any rate, for you would fail. They don't trust each other to speak French, they won't hear of it from you. Just speak English, or French as-if-it-were English.
