Sometimes they're serviceable, but a lot of issues are shit, like the one with the BLM dragons.

Anything drawn by Fosgitt is instant trash.

I don't think I've read any of the comics and that they were better than the show.

So I'd say don't bother, but if you really want to read them for the few okay stories, just read them online. Don't spend anything on them.

I've read several of the first ones of the main series, issue 1-16 I think, and in my opinion they ranged from ok to great.

The Friendship Forever side series is actually more fun in my opinion. Or whatever they called the non-main series.

The early issues of the main comics where good like 1-10 or so but by the time you get into the 20's it nice to see the art but the stories suck.

What is this 'deviations' shit? is it the new FF?

Fosgitt is an extra special kind of garbage. Some of the other artists are not great, but he really takes a shit on the cake.

Basic anatomy? Backgrounds? Not obviously copy/pasting? Doing basic research about character designs or plot of the fucking comic you're drawing? Who cares, it's just MLP!

The Micro series was pretty solid. The Rarity Micro is probably the best pony comic there is. The first few main arcs were good as well. Friends Forever was good most of the time.

I particularly liked the Cadence FF 30,only because her dynamic there, is a little more different than her boring indifference during the episodes of the show.

And pic related has become somewhat relevant recently

From all the fiendship is magic comics i liked the first one, it gave me feels, its a shame that the same writer shitted the bed when he got an opportunity to continue that story in the main comics.
