The sad thing about /mlp/ is, is that any oldfags left are screeched into a corner whenever they try and discuss the state of the board and they're bombarded with shit like "DONT LIKE IT, THEN LEAVE". It would be better to skip chans entirely and look for new blood. There is not a chan out there that is not irredeemable trash, and the off-shoots of chan culture are even worse. I say that we aim for content creators, as faggy as they tend to be. In a proper environment they might become good posters just like the oldfags of a decade ago did. Then we might get some actual content that is not just shitty rehashed memes.
If we do it that way, we need to get rid of the name field entirely. As difficult as that will make some threads, it will be necessary to preventing namefaggotry from taking root without having the vols do a shitton of banning. It is best to be as clear as possible on that issue with artists in particular who tend to like slapping their identity all over every goddamned thing that doesn't need it.

We can get our old userbase back by advertising right here on 8chan, and we can keep them by making more posts ourselves and being more positive about the show.
