The problem with the cult of Einstein is not Standard Model, the problem with the cult of Einstein is they have actively turned their backs on actual science.
The other issue is they pretend General Relativity and Special relativity are a unified theory of physics and they aren't.
Between 1930 and 1950 it was noted that the speed of light was actually variable so as a fix "they" decided to peg the measure of a meter to the "speed" of light therefore establishing it as an immutable measurement–they also lie about big G being a constant when the reality is they take the aggregate variable measure of G and average it and pretend it is a fixed constant.
Neither of these methods are science–they're forced constants that ignore the data… it's all dogma.
They also believe the nature of the universe is "mechanical" and the entire universe is founded in materialism.. .it's all cult like non science behavior.

Like, isn't that the entire point of the theory? That the speed of light in vacuum is by definition constant and always follows a straight path through (potentially curved) spacetime?
So it'd only make sense to define the meter by assumed natural constants like the speed of light and the half-life decay of radioactive substances for time.
Its a pretty gud framework that allows for more accurate predictions of observed phenomenon than newtonian gravity. (E.g. gravitational lensing, black holes pretty much confirmed to exist with quasars being one of the brightest objects you can find, gravitational red/blueshift, particle accelerators needing to account for relativistic effects at relativistic speeds)
I don't think I'm a cultist, because there are obviously still things wrong with the theory.
The entire "dark matter" debate with galaxies not spinning the way they should, it not being compatible with quantum mechanics etc.
But I think just as newtons was for its time, its a valueable tool as a theory for the time being until something better comes along and it doesn't become dogmatic (which I agree with you, it sometimes appears to be that way)

Like, I'm currently assuming I understand your point wrong.
Because isn't that how you measure all constants?
If I measure K_bolzmann or N_avcado or plancs h, I obviously can't just measure once and measure it perfectly, I measure a dozen times, get a dozen (hopefully close) results, just assume that the natural constant I'm actually trying to measure is - in fact - constant and my measuring device sucks and shows and cummulates an error, and then turn the 12 seperate measurements into an average with an error bar.
Like, isn't every single measurement ever done exactly this way? Because its impossible to construct a perfect measuring device that can measure accurately without internal error to the 10^-12 femtometer or femtosecond scale, because at that scale heisenbergs uncertainty principle fucks your shit up anyways.
So I can never make a single "perfect" measurement thats 100% accurate to theoretically infinite digits after the dot, just repeated multiple measurements, ideally using different methods to see if any particular effect about the way you measure that constant fucks with the result.
So did I not get your point and theres more behind the big G story?

They aren't assumptions–they're assertions.
The speed of light was ASSUMED to be a constant but it was demonstrated to NOT be a constant when measured over time. The solution was to tie the meter to the speed of light directly so it was forced to be a constant–which it isn't. The same with G, they assert it's a constant when it isn't. It is not an assumption.
It's bad science and it pretends to have fundamental constants where there isn't and it produces explanations for those constants which are wrong… in doing so it overlooks some very fundamental aspects of the universe and mocks actual scientists for wanting to research it.
Forcing constants and calling them immutable is a hallmark of the stagnation of science.
Cosmology is broken almost beyond repair.

They don't measure the speed of light today they fixed it as a constant.
Early on they used cavity resonance then in the 60s they started using Krypton spectral analysis… in the late 60s they defined the meter relative to the wavelength of light emission from Krypton so the definition became a circular definition and the constant was solidified as dogma.

To be clear, you mouth breathing disingenuous retard, when an undergrad measures the speed of light it is not recorded beyond the lab they do it in. The results are never compared across universitas, they are never ever coalited or aggregated to look for patterns.
It is a one and done experiment that is forgotten as anything other than an abject lesson.
THE definition of the speed of light is managed by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) and was pegged to the emission of Krypton-86 and circularly tied to the definition of a meter.
You don't even know the basics of international standards of measure.
You have nothing at all but disingenuous pilpul and a dogma you cling to.
I almost guarantee you don't even know that your lord god Einstein wrote about the massive obstacles to directly measuring the speed of light.
If you do have a degree in physics you very clearly should ask for your money back.
