Kek, that was probably me. You mean the guy with the mysteriously minor symptoms for 2 weeks followed by sudden thyroid enlargement? I'm not dead and seem to be getting better. Shit got worse very soon after that post, so that's why I didn't post again. I basically did nothing but treat symptoms and try to rest and distract myself with food/entertainment for the duration, didn't feel up to even using the computer until a day or so ago. Traditional flu symptoms appeared. Moderate fever (higher and longer lasting than the light fever on and off that I had been having), moderate coughing, light sneezing, constant runny nose, congestion made me into a mouthbreather, sore throat got worse.

Had a scare where I suddenly had problems breathing and fast heart rate. Said fuck it and went to seek medical attention, they took an xray of the chest said it looked fine, had a listen and said it sounded fine, vitals weren't that bad (BP a little high but within normal, heart rate a little up too). They gave me a script for an inhaler and a steroid. Didn't use the steroid, felt that would be a stupid idea if my body was already having a hard time fighting it. Breathing problems fucking resolved by the time I got the inhaler hours later. At least I have it if I need it. I haven't had an issue breathing since though. Possibly a fluke, like allergies on top of the sickness.

I have had a couple more instances of random heart palpitations and fast heart rate. Along with random pains. It's hard to sleep too, my heart beats hard and loud when lying down on my sides. Been sleeping on my back (something I always wanted to make myself do, but not in this circumstance wew). I hope I don't just die suddenly from heart problems. Other than that, all other symptoms are almost completely gone. I still have some congestion on and off throughout the day, occasional cough and blowing my nose. No fever, not a lot of mucus, throat is doing better too.

My thyroid seems to be doing okay too probably. No more issues from it that I can see. I haven't lost any weight anyway, don't feel particularly tired either. Then again, I'm not sure about how often I've been eating. I usually eat more when I'm sick or injured for obvious reasons. Less resources = suboptimal recovery speed. I'd like to confirm that the thyroid is fine and that I won't have to take meds or anything, as well as make sure my heart is okay, but I'm afraid if this was "just a flu bro" and some retarded health care worker is asymptomatic and "blesses" me, then I really will die. We live close enough to a college filled with chink foreign exchange students too so it's probably risky enough. Of course the longer I wait, the more time the disease has to spread making it riskier, so I don't know. I don't even know that it matters, since, like debtanon, I'm absolutely going to catch it one way or another anyway. It's really just a matter of when.
