Microsoft Botnet To Censor Speech In New Latest Word Software
Microsoft has included a new function in the latest version of its Word software that acts as a checker for inclusivity and offers PC alternatives to phrases which could upset snowflakes. Traditionally, Microsoft Word has offered tools to its 25 0million users such as checking software for spelling, punctuation and grammar. But now, the left-wing tech giant has added an additional feature which reads through a user’s work and examines whether the language used may offend mentally ill morons.
The Sun reports it does this by highlighting phrases focusing on gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity of 'socio-economic status'.

MY COMMENT: There is always Libre Office which is open-source and FREE, many Linux operating systems come with Libre Office which is very much the same as Windows version, only much better and safer to use (does not contain bloat or spyware).

"updates" is just malware datamining at this point. The "operating system" indexes your entire hardrive on regular basis and then during the update it sends these indexes to M$ datacenters.
Why do you think it uploads so much to their servers when its supposed to download the update? It's datamining.

Exactly. I would never use anything past Windows 7, and even then it must be completely de-bloated along with a lot of the nefarious unnecessary registry that activates covert bloatware in the background (like the windows event collector, error reporting service and numerous remote desktop services etc etc). Outside of using an older Windows OS for p2p file sharing and reading news and shitposting on sites like this it's not to be trusted for anything very personal. If you want a personal computer stick to Linux.

There's a lot of talk about VPN's . But nobody seems to talk about firewalls anymore. It's like people are unaware of the callbacks their own computers are making.

Part 1 of 2:
True dat.
But firewalls are mostly set it and forget it.
I use `ufw` on most systems, but also use `firewalld` when I require more functionality. (And no, Killcen, I am not afraid of `systemd`, although I prefer other init systems.)
I have no idea what Windoze users use in the way of firewalls. It's been about 18 years since I was still dual-booting with Windoze XP and Ubuntu, shortly before I left Windoze behind forever.
Highly Recommend.
GNU / Linux is a different way of thinking entirely. You own your own system, and all parts of it are open to you. There is no need for "Antivirus", and I've never used one, except in particular use cases. (Then there's always tools to check out particular things. ClamAV is one.)
Bill Gates, however, has had billions of idiots trained in being at war with viruses their whole lives! And now look at 'em! Still on a war footing with viruses!
I like the QubesOS way of thinking myself. But I've tried 'em all. (Protip: Debian & Arch are the sweet spot for most.)
Start your Linux journey today!
You will learn much about yourself along the way.
Not gonna recommend Vanilla Debian or Vanilla Arch for any beginner; but will recommend two distros (from daily experience, for years) that are fully set up and functional, and I think they both come with the Universal Firewall `ufw` as part of the distro; but if not, you can get it from their package manager. And that brings me to the other important thing. Package Management. What does Windoze have? You go to shady websites all over the web and download virus-laden closed-source programs, then run them on your closed source computers, not even understanding privilege escalation, then wonder why you got a virus! Not only is your attack surface greater, you are a much tastier target, lower hanging fruit.
Package managers on Linux are much more straightforward. I personally don't use Snaps or Flatpacks, but they have those too. (I do use packages from the AUR at times.) And you can easily build packages from source!
> inb4 Gentoo
Now about those recommendations…
If you like stability and you don't always have to have the newest flashiest toys, then Debian is for you, and I'm going to recommend MX Linux. It's fully set up, has lots of cool tools, and you will not find a better OS to run just off a Live USB, with Persistence up the wazoo! A whole computer on a flash drive with all your files and tools that you can take anywhere, and keep upgrading and remastering forever. Did I mention the tools? And it's Debian based.
The other distro is Arch based. For those who like to be on the cutting edge, a rolling distro is the way to go. Endeavour OS is a fully functional Arch based system that even a noob can handle. I've gotten my family on it. It's beyond cool.
> inb4 btw, I use Arch
That brings us to the secret about Linux "distros".. You could spend years distro-hopping. I did. But it is the Desktop Environments or the Window Managers that will become what you get attached to. That, and certain tools; most of which are available across all Linux platforms. Some prefer the XFCE Desktop Environment. Some prefer Window Managers with keybindings, like i3. I prefer the KDE Plasma Desktop Environment. I spend much of my time in either the command line or on browsers though, so yeah, browser security is a whole nuther ball of wax.
(You know in ancient China they used to write secret messages on silk, roll them up in a ball, dip them in wax and swallow them… But I digress.
And, I've rambled on enough anyway…
But Part 2 is coming up!

Part 2 of 2:
Yes, Firewalls Good.
Yes, Border Security Good.
No, Antivirus doesn't do anything if the enemy is already within the gates.
Viruses exist. Learning to live with them and conduct your affairs accordingly, rather than needing to constantly be on a War Footing, only makes sense. Keep a healthy system and you don't have to worry about that shit! And compartmentalize. Limit access. Prioritize. Setting up firewalls actually teaches us a lot about deeper aspects of life, such as how we let things through to our core being.
Did I mention I like the Qubes OS way of doing things? Well, I do. And you don't see many virus makers trying to penetrate the systems of folks using Qubes OS either! They don't even bother. It's not set up for attacking.
Windoze IS.
Windoze was CREATED For back-dooring and attacking every which way. Datamining has always been its purpose. And Bill Gates has always had the best viruses and the most reason to keep up the "War".
Bill Gates, and that crowd of Globalist Elites, has always wanted to have Complete Centralized Control over ALL your systems! You gonna let 'em?
On another note, you fuckers complain about PDFs and think they all have viruses, not even knowing how those work. The PDF exploits all involve Microsoft Outlook. It's the Viewers, you idiots! Use Linux. Have you ever opened a virus-laden PDF or anything else in a Qube and inspected it? Folks aren't even probably writing exploits for open source Linux viewers.
btw, I inspected many Crab PDFs and could find no hint of viruses there, but do your own research.
Did I mention I was rambling?
Well, I am.

After 18 years I am still checking out new tools, and occasionally trying different distros. Using BlackArch right now, but anyone using Arch can open to the BlackArch repositories and use it's awesome suite of tools for penetration testing and the like..

For my own personal computer, not the one I currently use for shitposting here of-course, I have an older Xubuntu with the XFCE Desktop interface. It took me a while to adjust to downloading and installing software from the linux repositories as normally I have all the software I need and use backed up on various offline mediums ready to install whenever need be (for my older Windows). I have everything I could ask for on Xubuntu including the whole Libre Office set-up, a reverse-engineered Firefox fork, Tor, Bleachbit, VPN client, Xfburn & K3b for hardcopy backups, Rufus, VLC Player, etc and all the other basics such as the 'Text Editor' tool I can use to read/write standard ASNI or UTF-8 (UTF-8 my preferable 'copypasta' format) among other basic default programs like the calculator. For a personal computer that is all I really need, I don't care to geek out too much.
At some point I would like to try another Linux but I'd have to use my spare laptop and that is currently in a faraday cage for emergency purposes so I would want to buy another for testing other Linux operating systems. I've tried Q4OS on an old desktop computer before but the issue with that was Q4OS only had a limited amount of compatible software, most popular p2p file sharing clients would not function as intended. That's why I decided to just stick with Xubuntu for my desktop computer and Windows for the reading news & shitposting. As far as Firewalls, I use a standard Windows firewall but I block EVERYTHING except the ports I need for various online programs. Is it secure? Likely not. But then again, I never put anything damning or personal into a Windows operating system anyway, and it's not like I leave it online 24/7 either. It's already de-bloated using Admin tools, PE, Process Hacker and RegEdit. As for Anti-virus? I don't trust any of them. Nearly all of it is now spookware if you know what I mean ;) and if I have a virus it's not going very far, it will be contained simply by the way I operate from online to offline as far as media goes. Nothing from the Windows ever touches the Xubuntu system and vice versa, lol!

I'm gonna recommend a program for you.
`handbrake`
For quickly recoding videos into the format and size you want.
Try some Presets. See if you like it. The learning curve is not steep at all.
You might already use it. Just:
sudo apt update
sudo apt install handbrake
I know you prefer some other tools maybe, but yeah… `handbrake`.

I use KDE Plasma mostly, so use Okular to view PDFs. Will admit I rarely use LibreOffice, because I use many Text Editors, IDEs, Markdown, Pandoc, wkhtmltopdf, Hugo Static Site Generator (used to use Jekyll), etc…
I used to use LibreOffice for calling on an API to do Speech-to-Text, but now I use `nerd-dictation` for that, and Mycroft's `mimic` for Text-to-Speech.
Gearing up for awhile of recovery soon, so I need tools.
Setting up a Raspberry Pi today with an Arch ARM build.
Also fixing up my new personal Kodi 19 Matrix build for fun and entertainment.
So yeah, gotta go…

I tried to tell you all you need to do is buy a USB flash drive, say 64 GB with 130 to 150 MB/sec read speed and good write speed too. Could cost as much as $15 where you are nowadays.
Get a Sandisk Ultra-Flair or something.
Put MX Linux on it. Boot from it. Enjoy it Live. Use Persistence to keep all your files and apps persisting. You don't need a new computer, or hard drive or ssd. Just the USB flash drive and an internet connection to mxlinux.org, and a tool to burn it onto the USB. Once you have MX you will have those tools. You have Xubuntu. If you're not afraid of the `dd` command, but no.. You'd rather have a GUI. I think Etcher works. Check the MX website. Etcher is a beast. I've used the AppImage before. But I just use `dd` for most things now.

Like I said, I do have Rufus for Xubuntu so I can rip bootable ISOs onto a thumb drive when need be, and Xfburn comes with the option for CDs & DVDs too. I'll give MX Linux a try at some point, I'll just switch the BIOS to boot it instead of the harddrive which currently has Xubuntu. As for handbreak I have tried it before. It's pretty decent although I would not need it for my personal computer. Maybe this one if I care to convert video files (currently with this Windows system I have Wondershare UniConverter as well as ISkysoft Video Converter which both have enough options to convert a TON of different formats as well the options to re-size the video, but only good if you want to go from higher quality to sub-par for reducing file size; not often very necessary for my needs). Of-course the biggest challenge for me with Linux over the years: finding something just like the old DVD Shrink…. now if you know anything like that for Linux please let me know! DVD Shrink is my go-to for ripping exact copies of digitally protected DVDs for friends and family. Not many out there like it might even be illegal to own today.

Using basic opsec can defeat the ability to not only unmask you but to harm you in any significant way. VPNs, Tor, Utopia, Lokinet (etc) as well as having Firewalls is only part of the opsec, you also need to think outside the box: side channel vulnerabilities, what kinds of info/logs/data you keep on your harddrive, whether or not you have backups of your important files, whether or not you de-compartmentalize online activities, etc.
I would actually be curious to know what hackers would do if they were to get into this OS I use to read news and shitpost here. #1 The camera and microphone have both been physically removed. #2 There is nothing personal or incriminating I have on this system. #3 Even if they were to wipe out some obscure media files, I have them all backed up on offline mediums anyway, along with this operating system. #4 I don't always have this system online and I don't leave browser session data on my harddrive either, whenever I close the web browser(s) I flush all sqlite browser session data using a manually configured .ini script for the old Ccleaner. I would imagine a hacker would be looking at a terminal and wondering "who the heck is running this old heap of junk?"

It won't because that kind of law would make no sense and receive a lot of public backlash. Even if they tried I guarantee, just like what happened with all the Wikileaks material mirrored, those thousands of operating systems would be mirrored everywhere including over bit torrent. Lots of Linux operating systems are already shared via decentralized means like bit torrent anyway. Plus, anyone who has a bootable ISO backup could share it and/or use it without anyone else knowing. You can even use Linux for offline activity. I use Ubuntu Studio for my 'music laptop' that's hooked up to a mixer and amplifier, 100% offline, no wifi or wired connection and it's only purpose is to play my massive music collection and playlists. I use it during get-togethers and small parties every year to play selected music (as well for Christmas and Oktoberfest get-togethers). You think I give a shit if there were some commie law against an operating system? Tough luck! Laughable at best.

Newer hardware is probably (wink) equiped with undisclosed motherboard resources. Cache memory and utils that facilitate construction of easter eggs. A pizza delivery system if you will.
A recycle bin that is never emptied and a real time tandem browser
with it's own dedicated and undisclosed RF.
Considering that certain unique identifiers can't be replaced on certain devices, it's not going to matter much what OS or what security measures any end user takes.
If you have been targeted by a hacker or hacker organization
(ex.fbi cyber) you are fair game.
Any perceived threat to national security is legally justifiable to take down any target BY ANY MEANS.
It used to be called "entrapment" but the laws have all been changed starting with the Patriot Act.
Monitoring traffic on certain sites and profiling posters of interest is a well paid full time job with benefits and a government pension.
And it is all legal thanks to shit tons of garbage paper passed through congress and signed into law by so called Presidents over the course of the last 22 years.
They will build the same voodoo into the voting systems and the Help America Vote Act of 2002 tossed out mountains of money to "update" a few things and get that ball rolling.
We're fish in a barrel.
The danger is real and all the have to do is catch you in possession of your device.
Perhaps that's why we've heard stories of people in government and or involved in political campaigns destroying hardware with hammers.

I doubt it's that extreme with older operating systems, but modern ones very likely so. I do recall tech experts finding a wireless backdoor in the Intel Processor chips a few years ago and Intel admitted all processors made since 2011 have an RF backdoor that can be accessed wirelessly by spooks to eavesdrop. That became an open secret. So yes, I would be cautious of what kind of info/media you put into computers especially if they are for personal use. Keep personal computers non-political, work and finance only, and for legit email. As for any "nefarious" web activity they'd still need solid evidence you yourself actually own the targeted computer, and that would take routine eavesdropping and keylogging. As long as you don't type in anything personally identifiable into a targeted system and use common sense opsec I don't think there would be a way for them to prove anything. But who really knows? I'm sure there is some spooky new tech out there that allowed just that after all those Snowden leaks. Best bet would be to stick with older computers and decompartmentalize activities into isolated systems. Encrypt the harddrive and have a bucket of water handy just incase lol.

Google does not give users access to that info and the forums I visited were full of people asking how to find gmail accounts that may have been associated with their device without their knowledge or consent. Google has no options for checking login and device association for the general public.
It is, however, available to law enforcement.
The nice heffbee-i lady told me if i was in possession of a device involved in a cheese pizza investigation I would be arrested for merely being in possession of the device.

I dunno, but it feels like a heart attack
No beating in my chest, high stress
And nurses say my EKG's a real mess
I got my clothes on, and then I tried to walk
Out of breath, more stress, I can barely talk
Hooked me up to oximeter on the floor
Thinkin' "Will I live another 24?"
I'm gonna die 'cause I got me the clot shot
They hit the kill switch; feds make my ass drop
Had to stop; seein' white lights
Lookin' up above, spyin' Jesus in sight
Ain't anything alright
I'm havin' heart attacks and won't live through the night
Called up the doctors and I'm askin' y'all

Get this shit up out me, it's trouble

Sure, I know all that can happen but if you are using new computers or 'smartphones' bought directly from companies like T-Mobile and using Google you are not doing OPSEC.
This is why people like myself drive 50+ miles to buy used computers from independent computer shops and pay in cash, with fake alias all planned and memorized in preparation if an inquiry is made by the seller. Yah, my name is Tom Page and my phone number is 653-3346 and I live at 303 Ridge Road, Winchester MO. LOL. All fake. But by the time they ever found that out I'm off with one or two old used computers bought in cash, back to my undisclosed homestead wiping the drives clean before I partition a backup operating system I have completely offline.
Again, if you guys are using modern gadgets, Big Tech services like gmail and relying on big supply chains paying with a credit card you are not engaged in real OPSEC!

Yes I am well prepped for SHTF. As for the safety on the internet, no matter what precautions you take you never really have 100% safety because ALL backbone ISP traffic is swept up by the NSA where the data can be accessed at any point in the future by numerous agencies. The point of OPSEC is to simply make it much more difficult to unmask and identify individual users. I've said this many times before: if you only use one computer and operating system, no matter how "secure" it may be, you are not using very good OPSEC at all. One major part of OPSEC is simply de-compartmentalization, that is isolating individual online activities from one another. You can do this by running numerous VMs, or bootable operating systems stored on thumbdrives and/or having more than one computer & VPN service to isolate your personal activities (banking/email/shopping/financial/work related) from other online activities (file sharing/news/shitposting/etc). Think of it as a challenge. It's the same concept of having "a second phone" that's a burner phone. You only use that phone for whatever activity you care to 'hide' and then over time you destroy it and replace it with another burner phone. Don't be fooled: all traffic is still swept up, but you are keeping various evidence/data isolated when swept up. Is it bulletproof? Hell no but nothing is perfect.

If that were true then you would know the very point of the ARPANET (which later became the internet) was to decentralize communications across the country and the world, making it impossible for any one entity to undermine those communications even in the event of nuclear war. You simply mistaken my obsession and curiously with basic OPSEC as some form of "treason" or "crime", when in fact, many tech savvy entrepreneurs have the same hobbies and paranoia to better secure and safeguard communications. As for the death threats, you are the one actively hostile to innocent Americans who have done nothing wrong. 'Unconventional warfare' should be directed at those who are hostile to our freedoms, our nation and way of life.

I understand that, which is under their Terms of Services. However that does not mean I have to agree with the TOS or use their services either. I also have every right to use their older outdated platforms too which I enjoy.
Furthermore, those same vulnerabilities they put into all the new equip is a double-edged sword for everyone involved. As a result, the US Military would be a lot more secure using or reverse-engineering a Linux operating system for use, than using Windows proprietary systems that hackers and foreign hackers can penetrate and exploit. Why do you think they got into the Solar Winds crapware? It was backdoored dude, and the enemies figured out how to exploit it!

"And then there are the military drills that have been taking place on American soil in recent years.
In the latest “unconventional warfare exercise,” dubbed “Robin Sage,” special forces soldiers will battle seasoned “freedom fighters” in a “realistic” guerrilla war across two dozen North Carolina counties.
Robin Sage follows on the heels of other such military drills, including Jade Helm, which involved U.S. Army Special Operations Command, the Navy Seals, Air Force Special Operations, Marine Special Operations Command, Marine Expeditionary Units, the 82nd Airborne Division, and other interagency partners.
According to the government, these planned military exercises are supposed to test and practice unconventional warfare including, but not limited to, guerrilla warfare, subversion, sabotage, intelligence activities, and unconventional assisted recovery.
The training, known as Realistic Military Training (RMT) because it will be conducted outside of federal property, are carried out on both public and private land, with locations marked as “hostile territory,” permissive, uncertain (leaning friendly), or uncertain (leaning hostile).
This is psychological warfare at its most sophisticated."

Any Windows OS past Vista are literally botnets. If you have an older Windows, you should de-bloat it of all the unnecessary crap via Admin Tools settings, msconfig & regedit and it will work much better. I don't bother with auto-updates as it's all spyware these days, and so-called "patches" end up creating more vulnerabilities with all the bloat. Therefore any auto-update service and it's registry has been shut off and removed from the system. So has remote desktop and remote registry services due to their enormous hacking & virus exploitation. Got the CPU running an average of 20% even with a few clients running in the background, so it's relatively fast and smooth. Never had any problems with an old reverse engineered Windows. Albeit, Linux operating systems tend to be better for more personal use (for security reasons) while Windows is good for P2P file sharing, torrents, converting files & ripping CDs & DVDs. I figure if this computer is ever hacked there's nothing they'll find on it of any value. I keep a completely separate computer with Linux installed for email, online shopping, etc. and only have it online when in need.

At least for Vista this seems to work just fine:
\Control Panel\System and Security\Administrative Tools > Services
(or %windir%\system32\services.msc)
Then find Windows Update. Go in there and disable it and stop the service. Then hit the "recovery" tab and press "take no action" for all options.
That's not exactly it though. Next you go to C:\Windows\regedit.exe
(this is a very very sensitive program so be very careful with the Registry Editor!)
Go to the edit tab, press find and search up "auto-update" and "Windows Update" or anything related to that update service. You'll see long strings. Change the permissions on each one. Right click "Permissions", then "Advanced" and unclick "include inheritable permissions…" then select "Remove" then click on "Apply" then click "OK" and the try deleting the registry ID and poof, that registry associated to that "update" botnet will become NULL.
Keep doing this to unnecessary services that act as botnets, or unnecessarily hog too much CPU. BUT be forewarned, learn which services are unnecessary bloatware and what is not unnecessary bloatware! If you accidentally defunct something system-critical you can end up fucking your entire operating system up and you'll end up having to repartition it!!!

More people would switch to Linux if Linux users weren't such insufferable faggots about it. A lot of people don't realize they've been using Linux their whole lives - especially gamers, particularly console gamers - and it's easy to push them into total conversion.
But as soon as someone says, "Yeah, I like this Ubuntu thing." there's always a backlash from "True Linux Users™" screaming at them, "Ubuntu is for LOSERS! You have to use this obscure, extremely hard to install, you have to know pin settings and how to code your own BIOS to operate version!!"
That's when the Windows users turn off their brains and say, "Eh, nah … I prefer to just click a button to install and go back to watching tiktok, thanks."

I never said you disable services.msc LOL! You'd likely break your entire system. I said you use it to delete a few unnecessary bloatware (spyware) that comes with Windows (seriously, who needs bloatware that contently sends system data to Microsoft servers lol!?). Doing so can speed up your system and clear up the CPU. There's about ~50 services controlled in Vista, I wouldn't be surprised if the new Windblows 10 has hundreds more loaded with terminal cancer. There are other Admin tools you can use to debloat the system, like regedit.exe, but you have to be very careful using it because you are messing with the root of the operating system.
My suggestion is having a backup harddrive, getting a ripped copy of an older Windows OS and just testing it out (trial and error) on a separate computer and learn the best ways to debloat they system and make it run much faster. Getting rid of auto-update is a good start too, but you can get rid of A LOT worse unnecessary crap like "Remote Registry", "Remote Desktop", "Remote Management:, "Secondary Logon", "Windows Event Collector", "Windows Error Reporting Service", "Volume Shadow Copy", etc. Almost no one needs that crap unless they really want Bill Gates sucking up endless data from their computers.
BTW: regedit.exe is key to debloating the OS because it can be used to really defunct it on a root level where no level of remote hacking can restore any of it (you can deny all permissions to something and that means only the end user - being you - can restore it).

Inflation spoils the January 6 show
American Thinker, by Silvio Canto Jr.

Call it bad timing or Trump luck, but most people today are talking inflation. This is from Fox News: The Labor Department said Friday that the consumer price index, a broad measure of the price for everyday goods, including gasoline, groceries and rents, rose 8.6% in May from a year ago. Prices jumped 1% in the one-month period from April. Those figures were both higher than the 8.3% headline figure and 0.7% monthly gain forecast by Refinitiv economists. It marks the fastest pace of Inflation since December 1981.

>Should we have some sort of referendum?
Petition has the power of signature. Referendums - power of vote.
You tell me if you shoud. If referendums are legal in the US this could change politics as we know it. Thats why many countries hate them and call them "mob rule", when in fact it is most democratic process available. For example, any State localy could throw a referendum to unsit a corrupt Senator/S.o.S. or any other politician, pass or abolish laws.

Some things take generations to adjust to. It is a process in which those who deal best with the conditions have a longer life, are stronger, more productive and therefore more likely to reproduce passing their genetic predispositions to the offspring. But from the moment we are presented with a new situation, our bodies often tend to do a switch right away making it possible to begin an evolutionary process from within. And this appears to be the case here. So how do the red cells and their ability to transport oxygen faster relate to the ABO group and rh factor sitting on the same red blood cells?
The people from that region have been able to deal well in high altitudes and while the rh negative blood factor runs low, it is noticable how high the percentage of people with blood type B is.

They can end this at any time simply by asking POTUS, right?

Former WA MP Phil Edman set to face trial over allegations he hindered a corruption investigation
A former WA Liberal politician is set to stand trial over claims he hindered a corruption investigation into his taxpayer-funded sex trips, massages and lavish dinners.
Phil Edman fronted a Perth court on Wednesday morning on five charges stemming from the 2019 Crime and Corruption Commission probe, which ultimately found he misused his $78,000 yearly electoral allowance.
Those criminal allegations involve tipping off four associates about the inquiry, including former upper house MP Nigel Hallett.
The watchdog's report prompted a prolonged tug-of-war with state Parliament over Edman's laptop, which he spoke about in secretly recorded phone conversations, claiming it contained "dirt" that could "end careers".
Edman's lawyer Finola Barr told reporters outside court her client "has entered firm not guilty pleas" and will be "defending all the charges".
A date for his trial will likely be set later this month.

Part 2
The Wall Street Journal posted the rescue video with a story about Johnson on Jan. 15, 2021. The Journal referred to the Oath Keepers as an “anti-government militia group,” a term the group flatly rejects.
“We were there as a force of good,” Oath Keepers member Roberto Minuta, who was also part of the rescue operation, told The Epoch Times. “I was with the Oath Keepers, and we’ve always done positive work, disaster relief, protecting businesses, aiding people that need help.
“We have no history of violence and no intention of violence,” said Minuta, one of nine Oath Keepers charged with seditious conspiracy on January 6. “We are strictly there to protect the First Amendment because we can’t have one side that’s permitted to have free speech and the other that’s not. That’s not America. That’s not what this country was founded on and when that’s gone, my children’s future looks grim.”
Oath Keepers founder Elmer Stewart Rhodes III told The Epoch Times his group is hated because it reminds those who took an oath of their duty to disobey unlawful orders.
“And so, out of the gate, the left just hated us because of that,” Rhodes said. “Of course, the big smear is that we’re somehow anti-government, even though we’re defending the Constitution. We’re all about defending the Constitution, which established the federal government.”
Geyer said the rescue of the Capitol Police officers was no surprise to him.

“The Oath Keepers have been working as a volunteer auxiliary police force around the country now for well over a decade,” Geyer said. “It’s what one might expect that the police would seek Oath Keepers assistance if there’s a crowd-control issue or an issue related to police movements, or if the police needed assistance for whatever reason.
“They were there to support law enforcement,” Geyer said. “And so when their assistance is requested by law enforcement, just like every other time, they’re happy to respond. It’s what they view their role to be.”
In another Jan. 6 incident, a group of Oath Keepers reported that they intervened in a potential conflict between an angry crowd of protesters and Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn.

Dunn “was armed with an M4/AR-15 and was very agitated, scared-looking and was surrounded by a bunch of yelling Trump supporters,” Rhodes said. “The Oath Keepers jumped in between and dialed it all back, calmed him down, calmed the Trump supporters down, and escorted that black police officer to other Capitol police officers and hooked him up with his buddies. So that he wasn’t by himself.”
Rhodes said he mentioned the race of the officer because his group is often falsely maligned as racist and composed of white supremacists.
