Thanksgiving Shortages And Prices Spikes Should Awaken Americans That Trusted The MSM Lies
With weather issues, supply chain breakdowns, pandemic unemployment worsened by overreaching vax mandates as first responders are put on unpaid leave, forcing firehouses to close, mass exodus of police, gas prices, food price spikes, all of which are contributing to shortages seen from grocery stores to retail shops, we are looking at a disastrous holiday season, which includes Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Cities can burn for all these people care, as first responders are once again protecting Americans by standing up for all of our rights, which unfortunately has caused them to walk away until liberal leaders understand, the first responders are needed far more than those radical Democrats causing job losses and lack of services, all in an attempt to force compliance.
Crime can go on unchecked, as law enforcement announce due to CA's vax mandate they plan for a mass exodus. Perhaps I should rephrase, crime will become more unchecked since businesses are already cutting hours and closing stores in parts of California due to "off-the-charts" shoplifting, due to CA laws that makes stealing basically legal as long as the ill-gotten goods cost less than $1,000.

People can starve as keeping store shelves stocked has become what they call a "Whack-a-Mole" process.
None of that is even considered by liberal leaders in states and cities, who seem to have only one goal, control the populace, whether by starving them, threatening them, or treating those refusing to comply as second class citizens.
Stefan recently spoke to our local grocer, and when asked when the turkeys would by in, the man didn't know but said to keep checking because once they were delivered they would be gone in a snap, and he hasn't been getting his "full" orders either.
Out of 145 items ordered on his last order, only 41 products had been delivered.
If you haven't gotten your turkey yet, might be a wise thing to check with your local stores to see if they have your favored meats for Thanksgiving, and if not, ask when they will be delivered so you can get them before there are none left.
As to sides, some use fresh produce, others use frozen, but a warning here that fresh may not be available in that last week before Thanksgiving, and if it is available, it may not look as fresh asusual.
With the CEO of Ocean Spray, one of the most popular brands of cranberry sauce, whole and/or jellied, warning about rising prices for the popular Thanksgiving dinner side, stocking up on it now while the prices are still high but not as high as they are planning.
Another area to prep for the possibility that fresh produce could be depleted at your local stores, or looking not quite as fresh as you expect fresh produce to be, would be to grab a few cans of vegetables, just in case.
They will always end up eaten in some form or another.
From what we are being told and what we are seeing shared online, the shortages are going to get much worse, and prices are going get much higher for your weekly groceries.
Just as in disaster prepping, it seems the wisest course of action for the Thanksgiving holiday is to prepare early, like now, and get everything you will need well before Thanksgiving, or you may end up eating a Turkey TV dinner!
While we are seeing massive warnings about upcoming Christmas shortages, lets work through Thanksgiving first, then we'll address Christmas.
When even the MSM is forced to report on the supply chain and food shortages, you know it is much worse than previously imagines and it is likely to become far uglier in the coming months.

Good! Maine passes ‘right to grow food’ constitutional amendment
Maine voters passed the nation’s first “right to food” constitutional amendment on Tuesday.
A statewide referendum asked voters if they favored an amendment to the Maine Constitution “to declare that all individuals have a natural, inherent and unalienable right to grow, raise, harvest, produce and consume the food of their own choosing for their own nourishment, sustenance, bodily health and well-being.”
It was an experiment not tried before by any state.
Supporters used the campaign to make the case the amendment would ensure the right to grow vegetables and raise livestock in an era when corporatization threatens local ownership of the food supply. They positioned the amendment as a chance for Mainers to wrestle control of the food supply back from large landowners and giant retailers with little connection to the community.
“It’s always a good idea to secure and protect an individual right in the world we live in. Food is life,” said Hickman. “I don’t understand why anyone would be afraid of saying so out loud in the constitution.”

US Consumer Prices Are Soaring At Their Fastest Rate In 40 Years
Following yesterday's US PPI print at record highs, overnight we saw Chinese producer prices rising at their fastest pace in 26 years, and this morning's US consumer price data was expected to show yet another non-transitory surge in inflation… but the actual surge was far bigger than expected.
US Consumer prices soared 6.2% YoY in October, far higher than the +5.9% YoY expected and accelerating from September's 5.4% YoY; that was the highest print since June 1982.
Higher prices for energy, shelter, food and vehicles fueled the supercharged reading and indicated inflation is broadening out beyond categories associated with reopening. After a brief reversal, Energy and Used Car costs resumed their vertical move higher.
The shelter index increased 0.5 percent over the month, as the indexes for rent and owners’ equivalent rent both rose 0.4 percent and the index for lodging away from home increased 1.4 percent.
Relief From High Prices Unlikely, Analysts Say Ahead Of Consumer Inflation Data Release
Having seen producer prices soar yesterday, investors closely eyeing consumer prices for any signs that The Fed's 'transitory' inflation narrative is true and Wells Fargo analysts say it’s unlikely sticker-shock-weary consumers will see relief as the persistent supply-side crunch will “keep fanning the flames on inflation in the near term.”
Yesterday, the Labor Department released data for October’s producer price index (PPI), which tends to front-run consumer inflation data as at least some production costs get passed on to consumers. The headline and core data for producer prices came in at record highs.
And today, the Labor Department will issue figures for October’s consumer price index (CPI), a key measure of inflation from the perspective of end consumers of goods and services. Consensus forecasts predict a year-over-rise of 5.3 percent in the CPI inflation gauge for October, with the prior month’s rise amounting to 5.4 percent, near a 30-year high.
On a month-over-month basis, CPI is expected to clock in at 0.5 percent, according to consensus forecasts released by FXStreet, though Wells Fargo analysts expect inflation was running hotter.
“Consumer Price Index report for the month of October is unlikely to offer much of a reprieve on the inflation front,” Wells Fargo analysts wrote in a note, in which they predict a 0.6 percent month-over-month increase in the CPI index.
“If realized, this would put headline CPI inflation at 5.9 percent year-over-year.”

U.S. food banks already dealing with increased demand from families sidelined by inflation and supply chain shortages now face a new challenge — surging food prices and supply chain issues walloping the nation.
The higher costs and limited availability mean some families may get smaller servings or substitutions for staples such as peanut butter, which costs nearly double what it did a year ago. As holidays approach, some food banks worry they won’t have enough stuffing and cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
“What happens when food prices go up is food insecurity for those who are experiencing it just gets worse,” said Katie Fitzgerald, chief operating officer of Feeding America, a nonprofit organization that coordinates the efforts of more than 200 food banks across the country.
Food banks that expanded to meet unprecedented demand brought on by the pandemic won’t be able to absorb forever food costs that are two to three times what they used to be, she said.
Supply chain disruptions, lower inventory and labor shortages have all contributed to increased costs for charities on which tens of millions of people in the U.S. rely on for nutrition. Donated food is more expensive to move because transportation costs are up, and bottlenecks at factories and ports make it difficult to get goods of all kinds.
If a food bank has to swap out for smaller sizes of canned tuna or make substitutions in order to stretch their dollars, Fitzgerald said, it’s like adding “insult to injury” to a family reeling from uncertainty.
In the prohibitively expensive San Francisco Bay Area, the Alameda County Community Food Bank in Oakland is spending an extra $60,000 a month on food. Combined with increased demand, it is now shelling out $1 million a month to distribute 4.5 million pounds (2 million kilograms) of food, said Michael Altfest, the Oakland food bank’s director of community engagement.
Pre-pandemic, it was spending a quarter of the money for 2.5 million pounds (1.2 million kilograms) of food.
The cost of canned green beans and peaches is up nearly 9% for them, Altfest said; canned tuna and frozen tilapia up more than 6%; and a case of 5-pound frozen chickens for holiday tables is up 13%. The price for dry oatmeal has climbed 17%.

We are about to see real hyperinflation soon, and I'm talking about 10% to 20% price increases per month or so, energy to heat a home is going way up too. Solar panels really were a very good prepping investment. US Food Banks Struggle To Feed Hungry Amid 'Perfect Storm' Of Food Inflation
America's largest food bank struggles to feed people amid a perfect storm of surging food prices and supply chain woes.
Katie Fitzgerald, COO of Feeding America, a nonprofit organization that operates more than 200 food banks across the country, told AP News that her network of food banks is already stretched thin due to the unprecedented demand spurred by the virus pandemic downturn in the economy last year. She warned that it has become more difficult for her organization to absorb food inflation, resulting in fewer families being fed this holiday season.
Supply chain disruptions, lower inventory, higher transportation and fuel costs, and labor shortages make matters worse for food banks that millions of people rely on. She said her organization has already swapped out smaller-sized food products or entirely substituted some to stretch the dollar further.
Fitzgerald said soaring food inflation is an "insult to injury" for families who depend on food banks.
Michael Altfest, the San Francisco Bay Area director, the Alameda County Community Food Bank in Oakland, said the food bank spends an additional $60k on food per month and is spending $1 million a month to distribute 4.5 million pounds of food.
Altfest said in pre-COVID times. The food bank was spending a quarter of the money to distribute 2.5 million pounds of food. He pointed out prices for canned green beans and peaches are up 9%, canned tuna and frozen tilapia up more than 6%, 5-pound frozen chickens rose 13%, and oatmeal jumped 17%.
New people are showing up every week at the Shiloh Mercy House food pantry in east Oakland despite President Biden promoting his economic success and "build back better" plan.
Soaring food inflation is hurting families: "And a lot of people are just saying they can't afford food," Jason Bautista, the charity's event manager, said.

RED ALERT UPDATE: GROCERY PRICES IN MEXICO ARE PLUMMETING AND I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHY. (actually I do know, it's called Biden's DARK WINTER.)
I went to a store called Bara yesterday and saw prices lower than I have ever seen them. Today we swung by HEB to make sure Bara was not an anomaly, and low and behold, kosher non-GMO rice was 90 cents a pound. Lentils that were usually $2.00 were 75 cents. NOT ON THE RECEIPT BELOW: White bleached flour: 25 CENTS PER POUND. Chicken legs and thighs in a decent grade (not the trash) 48.5 cents per pound. We were in and out quick so I did not check anything else, but look at this shopping list, and the prices. If the prices in the U.S. are not similar, someone is screwing the U.S. over. Usually the prices on groceries are similar in both countries and even if someone disagrees with that, why did prices suddenly drop by almost half??
This is a whistle blow. THIS IS NOT NORMAL, SOMEONE IS OBVIOUSLY SETTING AMERICA UP FOR A DISASTER BY SELLING AMERICA'S STUFF ELSEWHERE.
MIND BLOWING prices at a Mexican grocery store (something is SERIOUSLY amiss in the United States)
These prices were at one called Bara that I have not mentioned, but there is one close by and it was late so we went there.
The only way these prices could happen is someone is dumping America's food on foreign markets.

The average price of inflation is actually around 20% to 25% depending commodity. The Dollar Tree is increasing their prices for everything by 25%. Price of gas is way over 25% increase but mostly due to governmental stupidity and interference with pipeline operations. If it were not for their unnecessary interventions, gas would only minimally increase. Of-course the government loves price inflation because they can brag how "capitalism doesn't work" and they always call for more idiotic intervention that doesn't work in an endless beat the dead horse cycle.
