If you have excessive student loan debts in "political studies" or "social justice" and shill the fact you were stupid enough to get scammed into buying worthless degrees, most businesses in the real world don't see you of any use and behind the doors are laughing at people like you. Here is a tip to get by today, most businesses need young hard working stiffs that are interested in simply working for a pay check. If you don't mind working hard to make bank, most businesses can tell, and will point you right to the exit door and you won't hear from them again. If you want a job, with decent pay, you can't be shilling college degrees to them and expect a job. You need to tell them you are interested in working with them, working hard, learning what you need to learn and promise to do what it takes to keep things running smoothly and sufficiently. Offer them 2 days free training, no pay to train you on the job. Trust me, they love that. It shows you are dedicated and care. THAT is what gets you the job and gets you to make some money these days. Not worthless college degrees (unless that is, you have a specific professional degree which most do not).

As far as I'm concerned getting into the trade seems to be the best solution today, safe to stay away from student loan debts… but… *IF* you are very smart, dedicated and can learn hard studies and get PhD degrees in law, engineering or math and science to seek a high paid professional job it *MIGHT* be worth the time and investment. At least *IF* things don't end up a lot worse in the future and *IF* we don't end up seeing hyperinflation within the next decade (it's looking like we will).
The Social Security system benefited the "silent generation" the most who were already working when The Social Security Act was passed into law in 1935. Decades later "boomers" (my generation) got to retire but are not getting nearly as much as we paid into it. "Generation X" once they retire SS will be near God-damned worthless due to massive inflation rising the cost of living (due to the fiscal insolvency). By the time "Millennials" or the "Z" generation ever retires, the economy likely won't even exist anymore due to hyperinflation and a collapse of the modern global economy.
So there you have it and do whatever you can that is best for you, and consider prepping for harder times. Learning some skills in the trade may actually pay off long-term even after the economic collapse. People will need to have their utilities fixes after all, even the preppers.
