Eye contact is very important and necessary for developing friends and sexual relationships too.

However, do not stare into someone's eyes too long without blinking while having a frown on your face (easy to do when shitfaced drunk). That might be misconstrued as bitterness or being an outright aggressive psycho. When you make eye contact, be proper about it, do it when talking to someone face to face, or while looking at a pretty woman across a table on a date perhaps, just don't stare too long as if you had witnessed something abnormal because that's a turn-off.

You do not make eye contact with us peasant. If we need you to see something then we will put it in front of you. Also you are not to speak in our presence unless spoken to. Now get back to your duties before we take away your travel privileges.

Not making any eye contact is clearly an inferiority complex. However, staring someone in the eyes and glaring at them for a long time can make some people angry or think of you as a potential threat or a psycho. I find it wise to make eye contact while talking with people, or when waving to someone, I don't bother looking random people in the eyes for too long as they might misinterpret that as hostility.

I find eye contact to be romantic. When I look into people's eyes I get a sense there's too much attraction happening. I tend to stop listening to people and start just looking into their eyes. It's not comfortable feeling to have to look into someone's eyes I'm not sexually attracted to

I know exactly what you mean. This is something I did all the time as a child when I saw someone look at me for too long. Just staring at people intensely during public transportation and frown every time they look back at you for too long really freaks them out. Some try to resist or beat you at your own game, but without knowing for sure that this is a game to you and the fact that it is a child doing this to them completely breaks their spirit after a while. People leave their seats or outright exit and wait for the next train. When you then exist the train with them they really freak out and I am talking about 20-60 year old adult men averting their gazes and nervously playing with their jackets and clothes while avoiding eye contact with a 14 year old child.
