I like watching older classic shows on DVD box sets, Brady Bunch is a classic show to just relax to, I don't care how gay some would say that is either. But if you like some classic TV crime drama, Kojak is always good to watch. As far as movies, the Dirty Harry series, can't go wrong with that. Other classic films: Absence of Malice, Easy Rider, Pi, Needful Things, Nebraska, River's Edge, Walking Tall, Wake In Fright, The Shining, Long Long Trailer, Taxi Driver, Summer of '42… (not remakes, the originals!)… if your in the mood for something funny, check out some Abbott and Costello films or some Don Knotts films.
PS: boycott kike TV, just buy DVD box sets or rip stuff online.

While that is likely true, and there is certainly nothing wrong with reading, at least the older movies and shows were not as near as subversive as they tend to be today. Today they put politics, propaganda and 'diversity' in everything, that's all they'll show these days. I canceled TV long ago and I'm glad I did. But there are some older classics out there if you know what to look for. And by the way, commies have already called for older media to be banned because they know we won't watch their modern garbage.

As other anons said, pick up a book. If you haven't read in a while it'll take some getting used to again because all of the quick digital stimuli of the modern world erodes our attention spans and wires our brain for instant gratification.
Personally I like non-fiction and especially philosophy. Some of my favorite works are 'The Technological Society', 'The Myth of Sisyphus', 'Simulacra and Simulation', 'Industrial Society and Its Future', 'Propaganda', and the works of Nietzsche.
If you're looking for fiction, I don't have too many recommendations but I do really enjoy Fyodor Dostoevsky, particularly 'Crime and Punishment' or 'Notes from Underground'.
Some more popular fiction novels that I've really enjoyed were 'The Stranger' by Albert Camus and 'Brave New World' by Huxley

THE ROPERS

Nearly everything on TV sucks today, I have boycotted the service for almost two full decades. It's been over 20 years since I've had it now. When I used to go to a relative's house to visit a few days, the only channel that interested me was the Food Channel….. and even that had stupid shows from time to time, but actually watchable…. and of-course the infomercials are better than most shows lol. I do not miss TV service one bit, I have a TV set and all it has is a dual VCR & DVD player. That's all I really need to relax.
Also, a good show from the 90s (which became a horrible show after season 5!) was In The Heat Of The Night with Carol 'O Conner … that show started out great, very entertaining to watch (crime drama), but it because loaded with commie "muh diversity" propaganda after season 5… so I only have seasons 1 - 5 in my collection, but well worth the watch!
