Every "news" agency on the planet right now is reporting that silver is Wall St Bets' next target to pump (sometimes even as their top story). Wall St Bets top posts all say it's not true.
So somehow there is a massive coordinated disinformation effort here to convince people to buy silver. According to WSB posts the banks are actually long in silver, and a pump will benefit them greatly. This is in contrast to the info being put out, en masse, by every media outlet claiming that buying silver will screw banks, and that banks have been manipulating the price of it for a long time.
They're trying to convince you to buy silver in the name of WallStreetBets so the banks can make a fortune, then the banks will sell and screw all of the dumb "retail investors" who got duped by the mass coordinated fucking media campaign. Then they'll say "man, fuck WallStreetBets, they led me astray". The banks will make billions and vanquish their WSB foes. See the con?

Never mind. I did more research into this and apparently I am wrong. A silver squeeze would, indeed, hugely fuck over the banks. The media is just reporting on it en masse because it would completely change everything and be historic. It's not coming from "WallStBets", they are still obsessed with GME and the media is just reporting that because they're stupid. It's coming from other places on the internet, though.
