It gets even worse when you consider that any graph of real knowledge would certainly contain holes for unexplained events (as human knowledge is incomplete), but fake graphs could be more complete by generating consistent explanations as needed.

Obviously that's a problem for regular people, but is it a problem for the extremely wealthy? Certainly they have more mechanisms available to them to store information, educate their children, and verify information with their own eyes. But they are also higher-value targets to lie to. And unlike the lies of the past, these lies are absurdly difficult to prove wrong, as necessary information to continue the lie is generated continuously.

Now they (and everyone else) are put into a similar position to information as they already are to life / death with assassination. Successfully being lied to has become tantamount to information death. If one accepts any AI-generated lies into their belief system, it will likely be used as a basis for more lies to be inserted, and eventually they will completely lose grip of their current (mostly true) beliefs about the world around them. And rich people, being in possession of materials that other rich people / AI's are in desire of, will undoubtedly be the target of coordinated misinformation campaigns.

For example, pretend you are wealthy person with many employees at some lower point in a hierarchy, and you meet with these people only a few times a year. One of them gets killed off, but still reports to work remotely via video / voice synthesis. Perhaps this false persona then decides to resign after setting up a mole to become his replacement. Or perhaps this persona simply continues business as usual whilst delaying physical meetings for as long as possible, and blackmailing coworkers at the same level. Or perhaps this persona talks about getting into an accident, so you aren't surprised by this employee's new appearance. Whatever the case, this employee you are paying is now inserting false information into your organization, which makes detecting the lies / errors of other employees more difficult, making it easier to insert more false employees. Eventually, after enough success, the hierarchy will crumble to pieces while never reporting anything unusual upwards.

Nobody at all is going to be spared from the impending information extinction unless something MASSIVE happens soon. Poor, rich, scholar, idiot, it won't matter. None of us will ever know anything true again if we continue our information intake at any level over the next decade.
