I think most will agree that China's economy has grown to a point were it rivals the United States. One just needs to look at the numbers. China's exports in 2019 were $2.6tn, compared to the US' $2.5tn [1]. China's nominal GDP in 2019 was $14.3tn, which was 67% of the US' $21.4tn [2]. However, when adjusted for purchasing power parity, China's GDP in 2019 was $23.5tn [3]. That is 110% of the US, whose nominal GDP and purchasing power adjusted GDP is the same by definition.

There is a common argument that China's economic growth will stall soon because of unfavourable demographics. Due to the one child policy and generally lowered natality, China's population is rapidly aging [1]. In the near future, the Chinese working age population will start to decrease [3 p6], and the ratio of workers to dependents will worsen. In contrast, America's working age population will increase [3 p2] mainly because of immigration and high natality among immigrants [4]. Therefore, China's economy will stagnate while America's economy will surge ahead.

This line of reasoning is flawed because it assumes that worker productivity remains constant. It fails to take into account rapidly increased productivity in the Chinese workforce due to education and infrastructure.
The number of engineering and science bachelor degrees issued per year has been increasing rapidly in China [1]. Even when the increase in graduations starts planing out, the number of graduates in the labor force will still keep increasing since it will take 40 years for these graduation numbers to permeate through the labor force. Educated Chinese are returning from abroad more often [2]. In the near future, net outflows will likely completely stop as wages in China rise even further. The quality of Chinese universities is also improving – they are steadily climbing in international rankings [3].
The US is to a large extent dependent on stealing educated workers from abroad. While the US issued 800,000 S&E bachelor degrees in 2014 [1], it issued 345,000 H1-B visas in FY2017 [4]. 83% of H1-B visas were from India and China, streams which could dry up or even reverse as wages rise in these countries. Population growth in the US will to a large extent be due to poorly educated immigrants and their descendants [5].

It's a simple question, though. One that just gets ignored or talked around. Why are they here? Why don't you get rid of them? It's baffling. Why would you export your industrial base? Why would you give tax cuts to the entities that outsourced their production, rather than nationalizing their assets and replacing them with state industries?
All of the behavior just runs counter to what you're saying.

China will win what exactly? The United States is at its lowest point in history. We're divided politically, socially, economically, and our military is weak. However, even in this state we're unapproachable. China and Russia could unite against us and still not win a traditional war. In fact, the only way anyone can make a dint in our armor is by running psyop and dividing the American public, which is what we see happening right now. But even that's only as effective as our IC allows. The U.S. remains the dominant super-power in this world and our weaknesses are stronger than the world's combined strengths.

How is the US military weak? It might get weaker in the near future, though. The US military is at the precipice of a cliff, as it faces mass retirement of Reagan buildup era ships and aircraft in the 2020s.

Some of it is money laundering to use taxpayer money for campaign contributions, PACs, "civil society", media, etc. Favored defense contractors get to pocket a big chunk as reward for their discretion and reliability in this matter. Some of it is to keep jobs in key Congressional districts.

There hasn't been much change in military technology since the Reagan days because after the Soviet Union fell there wasn't much funding for it anywhere.

Hard to say, I'd guess 50% is laundering or funded for domestic political purposes. Some likely examples: A-10, JSTARS, CVN-78, LCS, DDG-1000, F-35, Future Combat Systems

Every major country has a black budget, what does the US have to show for all the money that was supposedly funneled into such projects? What sets it apart? Yes, it spread it's influence tremendously by making certain technologies available to the civilian market globally, it has some highly sophisticated weaponry, but it's still far from UFO tier tech, which remains a psyop for both domestic and foreign consumption.

The thing is, China is approaching 1950s America in economy and class development. That's why they are building Africa up. Africa will become the China for China. We will be stuck holding our dicks if we don't start bringing manufacturing home or sending it to other dirt poor countries. Letting China in the WTO was the worst decision ever made if they hadn't been allowed they'd still be a total backwater hellhole; as was letting them attend Western Universities, and work for Western Tech countries. Ten years ago they couldn't even build supersonic jet engines. Still, their government is a massive weakness. According to this article the reason is
> Many experts say that the wealthy are moving to protect their wealth, their health and their families. With China increasingly cracking down on ill-gotten gains and corruption, many of the politically connected wealthy are looking for safer havens abroad. They are also looking for better environments for their children—with better schools and cleaner air.
Also:
> Some say the capital flight and millionaire migration are normal consequences of rising wealth. Oliver Williams, of WealthInsight, said that the Chinese wealthy have about 13 percent of their wealth overseas—below the global average of 20 percent to 30 percent.

You think you can base a countries power by comparing which Nation has got more jewbucks ? Newsflash if the $ ever devalues
their economy is gonna implode faster than a chink shitting in an elevator.
China is 20-30 % Potemkin/industrial cities with tofucrumb buildings that crumble when you fart. Their people majority don't just live in poverty, they live in a dystopian technocracy where political/religious and other dissidents dissapear.
CCP human rights violations, they're numerous and hardly a surprise as that is the joy of communism comitted by CCP bullies. The world is tired of it all.
Either CCP eat's humplepie today or freedomseeds tomorrow.
Alternatively we bully them back by yeet kune do-ing our business&industry from China towards India or Afrika. Apple is pulling out of China and setting up shop in India already who will follow?
Global demand for "ethical" yet cheap will be good news for the poo's
What the CCP fails to realize is that they need us, we don't need them or their shenanigans for that matter.
They can seethe and suck up or fuck off and die .

1. Nobody knows the future
2. China is a massive fraud. It's corrupt and backwards in its practices. It's easy to buy a $100,000 scanner, CAD CAM software (bootleg of course) and scan everything made by Europeans and Americans and then reconstruct it to 1/10,000 of an inch then make something that looks thoroughly modern and new. But it's not. It's crap. They lag dreadfully in materials science and don't seem to car. It's a modern world built out of styrofoam and plaster and Victorian era metallurgy.

That's a snapshot of the present. Look at the trend.
> “I suspect that, at best, the Pentagon’s budgets will start flattening out. There’s a reasonable prospect that they could actually decline significantly, depending on what happens” with the broader economy, Gen. Mark Milley said
