Do not post there you are not anonymous on 4chan and everything is probably being logged (no wonder they won't let you post with a VPN). 4chan's owner Hiroyuki Nishimura is potentially selling logged ip and post data to outsiders. Some anon also leaked this information (see image) saying user post data and ip will be made public and cross referenced. Well that's exactly what happened on 2ch in 2013 when Hiroyuki was the owner who now owns 4chan.. Could it be a coincidence or is someone setting 4chan up for the big data leak?
Here is a small history lesson on what happened on 2ch.net between Hiroyuki and Jim:
Hiroyuki the founder of 2ch.net was ousted for mining and selling user post data to companies, he was also being paid by organizations to do damage control and shilling for products (could the same thing be happening on 4chan? probably yes with all the obvious shilling and mods doing nothing). This is how he was profiting off of his userbase without telling them.
What the fuck happened on 2ch.net in 2013? heres a brief summary:
Nishimura gives the rights of 2ch.net to Jim's company to make it a scapegoat and avoid getting sued by lawyers in Japan(from March 2013)
Hiroyuki has a history of being sued and escaping court order. This is why he's living in France to avoid having to make payments. (Japanese article: http://netgeek.biz/archives/93602)
So Jim receives revenue from the 2ch premium service while Nishimura calls the shots
2ch is hacked and user data is stolen from the premium service on August 2013 (something like 4chan pass) Name address credit card information and ip address were leaked. It was all made public. Anyone was able to cross reference the ip address and posts with other social media, and people would get doxxed.
The hacking leads to shutting down the service, Jim loses his source of revenue for his company. Hiroyuki ignores Jim's calls for help.
To save his company Jim forces ads on standalone viewers and other measures to make up money to pay for server costs.
Its soon revealed Hiroyuki worked with a company called Hotlink (specializing in mining user data and carrying out damage control shill operations), and was being paid to hand them 2ch users ip address and post data.
Jim is not happy with Hiroyuki's dealings, and after Jim launched his coup to take over 2ch ownership, Hiroyuki's contracts with various data mining companies and shill companies get cancelled and he is no longer able to profit.
Hiroyuki cannot call the shots anymore as Jim refuses to follow and Hiroyuki cannot legally take back power because he had given the rights on paper all to Jim.
Hiroyuki retaliates by cloning 2ch (2ch.sc) that automatically copies over all the posts from the original 2ch.net in order to plan to use the clone site to profit with Hotlink
Jim manages to block Hiroyuki's crawlers, Hiroyuki then launches a DDoS attack on 2ch
Hiroyuki then tries to rewrite DNS information so 2ch.net redirects to clone site 2ch.sc
Hiroyuki covertly tries to modify the server settings to attempt to completely erase 2ch.net and claim 2ch.se was just a backup. Jim and his son Codemonkey detects this activity and is able to prevent Hiroyuki from deleting 2ch.
Hiroyuki loses battle, then BUYS 4CHAN.ORG from MOOT
Now someone has been saying the same data leak is going to happen, is it a coincedence? Whatever you do , do not post anything that will reveal your identity on 4chan, but you can't post with a VPN and can't hide IP so you might as well never post there.
