This thread deserves a lot more attention because most in the AngloSphere aren't even aware this is going on. It's not their fault either, since the MSM are not covering it.
While I admittedly have paltry information on their centuries long conflicts, I will throw my support behind Armenia out of hatred for the Turks.

Vors are the bosses of the underworld in Europe. No one is higher than them in Europe/Eurasia criminal world. There is no Italian Mafia guys that have the money they do. Some a very few have billion dollar mansions mostly in Spain, Monaco, and South France. They got so much money when the Soviet Union collapse and would kill buisness men unless they would sell their factory shares dirt cheap making them basicly inherit the state during the 90s. Trump had Yaponchik and Tawianchik live in his tower. Alimzhan aka Tawainchik also was silently removed from interpols most wanted around the time Trump was elected. These Theif in Laws are very influential, they even played parts in Crimea conflict. It would make no suprise, the killing of Guli, sparked some kind of internal war. A vor is considerd a president amongst criminals. And Guli was king Vor the king of kings of underworld. These people have deep connections in post Soviet States and are involved in big buisness like oil, metals, big industry stuff.

The last time I read about Ngorno-Karabakh the Armenians were in a life and death struggle with the Chechens. This was back in the 90's or so and I was reading about it in the old international weekly edition of the Manchester Guardian.
What I want to know about this round of fighting is whether the Chechens are involved again.
The Armenians tend to be of above average intelligence, perhaps because historically they're stuck in such a tight spot and idiots are winnowed out of the herd quickly.

>Hey anon, do you have a summary of what has been going on? I have tried to follow wtf is going on at cuckchan, but well, it's cuckchan. The disinfo is pretty fucking thick, too many muzzies shit posting…
OK, I'll do a basic rundown with a few posts. First, a bit about the background and history:
the Armenians are a predominately Christian people who have historically lived in the southern Caucasus. There used to be large Armenian communities much further south, especially around lake Van in today's Turkey (there are still a lot of ruins of major Armenian cities in this area; look up Kars, Ani and Dvin). But thanks to getting the shitty end of the stick throughout much of history, today's Armenia is much smaller than historic Armenia.
There are also sizeable Armenian communities in cities throughout the Middle-East. These Armenians, too, are usually Orthodox Christians.
Now for the southern Caucasus. The ethnic composition of this place has always been kinda messy. Often there were communities with very different religions and languages living within a mile of one another. But thanks to the mountainous terrain and different lifestyles, communities managed to maintain themselves.
That's what created the Nagorno-Karabakh situation. Nagorno-Karabakh is a stretch of mountainous land that has been continuously inhabited by Armenian communities. But the surrounding land is more accessible, which is why seminomadic Turks began to predominate here.
On that note: today's Azeris are a Turkic people, but the name Azerbaijan itself was originally an Iranian name for the region. Various waves of Turkic nomads invaded Azerbaijan from the 11th century on, and they gradually displaced/assimilated the locals (who were a mix of Iranian and East-Caucasian groups, as well as Armenians and some Georgians).
Another note: the bulk of the region Azerbaijan is actually part of today's Iran. There are in fact more ethnic Azeris living in Iran today than there are in the republic of Azerbaijan. Iran also has a historical claim to the region, and the Azeri government low-key fears Iranian influence. Iran, in turn, sympathizes with Armenia over the republic of Azerbaijan.
Fast forward to the Russian era. Tsarist Russia conquered the Caucasus during the early 19th century, liberating Georgia and the region of today's Armenia from Muslim rule. The Russians also took northern Azerbaijan from Persia around that time. Then, about a century later, communism happened.
The USSR was a big fan of 'divide and rule' when it came to the smaller ethnic republics. They made sure to turn ethnic republics into patchworks of different ethnic groups - preferably also groups with a history of conflict with one another. Weaponized diversity in order to hamstring ethnic solidarity and separatism. That's how we got weird mixed republics like Kabardino-Balkaria. And that's also why Armenian-majority Nagorno-Karabakh was made into an autonomous oblast of the Azeri SSR instead of being merged with the Armenian SSR.

e42dc2 No.168238
>>168237
But then the bolsheviks bit the dust in 1991, and the Soviet Union fell apart. And the newly independent republic of Azerbaijan decided that it wanted to keep Nagorno-Karabakh.
The Armenians - both in Nagorno-Karabakh and in the now-independent republic of Armenia - were none too happy about this. And that was quite understandable, because the Azeris immediately embraced Pan-Turkism and an 'Azeri' nationalism that was just Turkish nationalism with the label 'Azeri' slapped onto it. *Anyone* who wasn't already a Turkic-speaking Azeri was expected to assimilate, posthaste - and any dissidents could expect a visit from the secret police. Armenians weren't the only victims of this; other ethnic groups have also been persecuted, such as the historically Muslim Talysh.
But the Armenians decided to defend themselves. And they did.
During the 90s, the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh rebelled, and the republic of Armenia supported them. This resulted in a war between Armenia and Azerbaijan - a war that Armenia basically won. About 90% of the Nagorno-Karabakh oblast came under Armenian control, as well as all of the land between Nagorno-Karabakh and the republic of Armenia.
By all means, the war was brutal. Ethnic cleansing happened on both sides - but the Armenians fought to prevent a genocide in Nagorno-Karabakh, and they only expelled Azeris from the backwater territories between Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. The Armenians did not try to seize Azeri-majority territories for the sake of conquest or ethnic cleansing - even though they probably could have done so with the historically Armenian region Nakhchivan.
But this is where it gets politically messy. Armenia did not actually annex Nagorno-Karabakh. Instead, the Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh declared themselves independent as the republic of Artsakh.
The republic of Armenia never formally recognized Artsakh. But at the same time, Artsakh has a huge influence on Armenian politics. IIRC one of the Armenian presidents used to be the president of Artsakh, and there's definitely *a lot* of solidarity between Artsakh and the republic of Armenia.

As for the situation today: that's an even bigger mess.
First off, you have to understand that Azerbaijan is a dictatorship. Think of Belarus' Lukashenko, only even more crooked. The current president is Ilham Aliyev, who basically inherited the presidency from his father Haidar Aliyev. And Haidar, in turn, came to power during a coup in 1993.
The Aliyev clique has been using nationalism in order to maintain its own power, but they aren't diehard nationalists. The Aliyevs can be quite pragmatic, and they were even willing to negotiate with Armenia during the previous decade (even though this was hugely impopular with the Azeri public).
The position of the Aliyevs isn't entirely uncontested, either. What >>164828 said about there being an Azeri military clique that might be planning on a coup is entirely plausible. And using a new war in Nagorno-Karabakh to thin the ranks and get rid of troublesome military cliques is definitely something that the Aliyevs would do. But in any event - there's a lot more going on here than that.
As others like >>167381 and >>164821 have pointed out; Azerbaijan is well within the orbit of Turkey, and everything indicates that Erdogan has a huge hand in this. Among other things:
- everything hints that Erdogan has been egging Aliyev on to start a new war over Nagorno-Karabakh
- Turkish military exports to Azerbaijan increased dramatically over the past two years
- there's a force of over a thousand Syrian goons fighting for Azerbaijan in this conflict; all of these are "moderate rebels" from the Syrian civil war. Turkey has been transporting them to Azerbaijan, as the Syrian militiamen are boyh expendable and a great way for Turkey to intervene without getting its own hands (too) dirty. See for example: https://archive.is/e9VeE
- Erdogan has been getting away with unsanctioned military operations and proxy warfare in Iraq (the Turks raised Iraqi Turkmen militias and used them in low-key proxy warfare in both Iraq and Syria)
- Erdogan has been getting away with hybrid warfare in Syria, and the spineless fuckups in NATO and the EU have even looked the other way when the Turks were committing ethnic cleansing in Afrin canton in Syria
- now Erdogan decided to do the same kind of proxy warfare bullshit against the Armenians in Artsakh, though this time with the republic of Azerbaijan as a willing accomplice.
- there's already been plenty of reports that detachments of the Turkish army are active in the fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh right now.
But there's even more nasty shit going on, however. Among other things:
- the Azeri government has been involved in cultural genocide, systematically erasing any trace of non-Azeri archaeological heritage. Armenian ruins and artefacts are targeted in particular. For example, see: https://archive.is/2EWRn
- NATO and the EU have shown absolutely zero interest in addressing any of the shit that the Aliyev regime. Azerbaijan has oil (there's major oilfields near its capital Baku), and IIRC EU representatives have at one point even outright stated that the EU's only priority with the region is oil.
- word has it that Pakistan has deployed forces in Azerbaijan as well, and that they are fighting on the Azeri side. https://archive.is/6MRF0

>>168237
Oh, and then there's the role of Israel in all of this.
- Israel is supplying Azerbaijan with weapons, and the Aliyev clique is happy to do business with the Jews.
- as I mentioned in >>168237; the Aliyev clique fears Iran, and the Aliyev regime has been quite happy to cooperate with Israel against Iran.
- …however, Azerbaijan has been a close ally of Turkey from the moment it gained independence. And even though Israel used to cooperate with Turkey as well, Erdogan's Turkey is explicitly hostile to Israel and zionism. So this is complicating Israel's pragmatic deals with Azerbaijan as well.
- Syria and Iran are supporting Armenia in this conflict. But the fact that Syria is now on very bad terms with Turkey and Israel alike is further complicating things.
- lastly, the Israelis themselves are torn on the whole issue. The ones who still do have something of a conscience are pointing out that the Azeris have been engaging in ethnic cleansing and cultural genocide for years, and that this conflict may well result in an actual genocide. Add to that that Netenyahu's position isn't entirely secure either.

What are the losses in materiel and manpower on both sides like, though?
That's a very important aspect here. Armenian sources are telling me that the whole thing has been a meatgrinder for the Azeris so far. Of course the Armenians won't be entirely neutral on the topic, but there are indications that it's not all propaganda.
The reason why the Armenians have been holding onto Artsakh up until now is because the region is mountainous and quite defensible, even with an inferior military. Armenia won the previous wars here because the attrition became too much for the Azeris.
>Do you really think anyone’s going to come to their aid?
There are two countries that might intervene in the conflict: Iran and Russia.
For why Iran might intervene; look no further than this: https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/iran-warns-azerbaijan-and-armenia-we-will-not-tolerate-attacks-from-karabakh/
The Azeri push has been along the Iranian border, and multiple times now the violence has spilled over into Iranian territory. Iran has issued some stern warnings over that, and it is not inconceivable that it might lead to an Iranian intervention. Which would in turn probably target the Azeri aggressors.
A Russian intervention is less likely to happen, but it becomes a very real possibility if Erdogan decides to become more directly involved in the war.

They're the mafia that founded and run modern Israel itself. The most influential Eurasian mafia/oligarchs are all either jewish, dual-Israelis and/or members/donors to Chabad Lubavitch.
People think Israel is just leeching off the US, but they're sucking it dry so that they can finally collapse it for the sake of the East.
I would bet all of my money that this is exactly what this current conflict is about; Rothschilds/Israel/City of London etc. are breaking up and reorganising their international business - Balkanization/Finlandization - shifting trade routes and blocs towards the East.

Ceasefire and Russian peacekeepers on the ground is now in vogue and with good timing. If the war kept on dragging for too long Artsakh will end up turning into another round of ethnic genocide courtesy of the azeriniggers and their new found status of becoming a turkish protectorate under the ownership of sultan erdoroach al-ra-idspray and their jihadicoons, just like Idlib.
Can't blame Artsakh though since they are up against what is essentially an army that is the equivalent of 8 countries against 1 region state smaller than Iceland, They can't be expected to hold for almost a decade just as Syria had previously done. Also, unlike Syria; Because of the non-stop fighting, Artsakh was unable to get a single opportunity to rotate their terribly exhausted and depleted fighting men for fresh, combat ready ones.
All in all, I say this decision to stop the fighting is a good way to give the Artsakh Army a good opportunity to take a much needed break from the continuous 40+ day streak tango with the jannies, roaches, allahniggers, mercfags, and the kikes.

Re: turkish protectorate:
It's the azeriniggers who basically lost their treasured independence through oil and gas, thanks to them sucking up to erdoroach and the jihadicoons, all just to win round 2 against Armenia, with the jannies never caring about the sekrit roach shenanigans at play, their Central Asian adventures, and their eventual showdown against the Big Bear up north.

Most are "Europeans", i.e. turkroaches who migrated to Europe. USA had the great plan to strengthen ties between their little colony Germany after WW II and Turkey to have an even bigger buffer zone against Soviet Union and attack more easily. To do this guest workers programs were initiated and Germany at the time being against couldn't refuse USA. They also later on got willingly imported by other European countries as well since they could underpay them. The twist was after their contract expired they didn't return, they just claimed and protested for citizenship and used existing labor laws against countries they resides in to keep staying. Now the result is a fuckton of turkroaches and most of them don't even speak the local language. They're an absolute fucking blight upon Europe and not even comparable to the levels of cancer of any other migrant group. Only people similarly worse are arab muslims.
> subhuman antics
They are not to be treated as actual people. You should trust Turks as much as you'd trust kikes, except Turks are too low IQ to peddle their lies and bs in a clever way.

So what happens now? I'm genuinely scared for the people living there, my roots from father's side are from Shushi…
If Azerbaijan technically "took karabakh", that means Turkey is only more emboldened to move east and start explicitly going on Armenia. All it'll take is a few flase flags and the media - which as we all saw is paid off by azeri oil like no tomorrow - to happily shill for "poor turkic jannies" and we got the fulfilment of what edrogan himself stated to be the fulfilment of his ancestors (refering to 1915 genocide and expanding turkish lands)
I'm seriously scared, not gonna lie…

2. a proven lie, since Armenia surrendered and abandoned the land to further genocide at the hands of the dune coons.
