On a personal level: Men need to work on themselves, become healthy, strong, and successful so they can eventually start a family. Men often won't reach this point until their 30s, which is ok. Probably the best book I've read on the subject is one called "How to be a 3% Man" by Corey Wayne. This is not a PUA book. I've read the book probably six times and it really does give a lot of solid tactical advice on how to sift through the muck and find someone you can build a life with. I just ended a three year relationship and its time I read it again, actually. I bought a paperback but he does give it away for free in audiobook form and electronic formats.
