"Racism" as a term is a pointed and, as people say, weaponized word. There is a vast difference between racial hatred and being able to distinguish the differences between racial groups. Under the term "racism" they are the same thing.
Hating somebody solely because of their race is foolish. It's like hating somebody only because of their height. With height you should be able to tell the difference between tall and short. As well as the advantages and disadvantages of being tall or short. The same applies to race.
The ability being targeted is what we call "discrimination" otherwise known as the ability to discern between two different things. If you become unable to tell enemy from friend then you are far weaker. It becomes extremely simple to infiltrate potentially dangerous groups with "friends" who act against you at every turn. Look at Occupy Wall Street and the Bernie campaign for some key examples in recent history on the left.
Anybody with a strong ability to tell friend from foe based on action is incredibly dangerous to the current system. That's why they must be lumped in with bigots who hate people only based on surface level details like skin color.
