It's okay buddy. In 7th grade I thought that I had invented the word "brainfart". Turns out the exact same word with the exact same meaning had already been in use for awhile.

You're just realizing that humans in the past have categorized what you're thinking into a school of thought.
You can know that two and two makes four and later learn that it is called addition.

You are working on a set of predefined premises in a logical way
Therefore, when you 'run' the premises you get to the same results that other people who were using the same premises

this has happened to me like 3 times. I think it's because philosophy is so subtly interwoven into pop culture we're instigated into thinking in schools we're unaware of

Or, y'know, you're not a genius special snowflake like 99.9999% of us.
You live in an age of standardized mass education, mass pop-information regarding a plethora of deep topics. Many people are more than capable of naturally thinking in basic syllogisms without ever taking a logic course, albeit inconsistently. Basic non-contradictory logic + basic widely known information = basic common conjectures about the world that actual geniuses had long before you and I were around.
Talk to philosophy 101 teachers, they'll tell you that your position is nothing uncommon. Plenty of people think they have these great epiphanies that somehow they believe only they and a few have, when in reality it's a widely held view because of how trivial it is to come upon it with the knowledge base and basic logic that is readily available.
It's not like you're coming up with things on the level of Kant or post-Kantian continental philosophers. If you managed that, then you really would be impressive.

you watch the Matrix, right. suddenly you start thinking, what if none of this is real, and my life is only illusory? you're on the same train of thought as Descartes, though, if you haven't taken a philo class, you may be unaware of who he even is. however, the Matrix was partially inspired by his concepts, and you may come to similar conclusions as he, even without knowledge of his works. this is what I mean.

Okay, I get you. Some philosophical positions are indeed very prominent in popular culture, though I mostly think of literature.
But I'd still say that philosophical systems and works are quite different to simply having a handful of notions about thought/existence/epistemology/etc. Anyone can do philosophy in the simple sense (if they can, you know, think), but not everyone wants to do academic philosophy for various reasons (first one being its lack of fiscal promise). The writers of The Matrix may not even be aware of Descartes themselves but just thought the idea was interesting.
Good way to get people to think a little less superficially though, and that I can appreciate.

what about the view that women are incapable of rational self-reflection?

>coming up a philosophy that is unique and different is more important than coming up with one that is true, precise and based on sound logic.
I would rather have someone who is boring and deduced that 2+2=4 then someone who is unique and has deduced that 2+2=5.

It depends on the reason for such infirmity, and its scale - never mind relevance.
Say, entropy, or chaos, makes all our actions 'unreliable'. Be it but a memory, you can't recreate it. What's the self that is never the same due to this? What's the self that struggles with this?
Women are incapable of seeing themselves in a societal context. It's a male domain, both spiritually and physically. Now, some women have been noted to play this game well enough. Notably queens and some courtesans. Philosophically, women are as distinct from man as man is from God. They are more material. This doesn't make them evil, it makes them limited. Hence the command for them; Wives, obey your husbands as you obey the Lord.
