I agree with most libertarian positions. Maybe all of them.

The individual calls his own violence liberation, but that of the state, atrocity.

That sounds incredibly smart, until you consider that individualism requires respecting the rights of others, which kinda means individuals are forbidden to call their violence liberation. It's different in collectivism.

I admit I was just doing a contrarian twist to Stirner's quote.
I actually was a libertarian in a former life, going the full spectrum from John Stossel to Ayn Rand to Murray Rothbard, before finally giving up on it.

Naïve utopianism that logically ends in exactly what it argues against.
I'd hardly call it political philosophy. Seriously, just think about freedom in a basic real context and it falls apart. Libertarian freedom logically concludes in a tyranny of a state that goes by another name.

Lolbertarianism is dogmatic and requires magical thinking when it's principles are challenged by exceptions. It is either consistent or practical, but can not be both simultaneously.

This also sounds incredibly smart until you realize that the reason we have a state that enforces its own tyranny is because people won't agree to respect the rights of others they dislike.
Hence why Pogroms used to happen in Europe, because the state chose to overlook people not respecting the rights of a minority they disliked.

It's Christian butthurt, don't worry about it. They're just assravaged that immense wealth resulted from not obeying the Pope's every whim. Almost as if he's not infallible or something.

As an anarcho capitalist, I believe the libertarian philosophy is thoroughly sound. I'm working my way up to Kant now, as it is his praxeology which underlies the subjective value system that Mises explored. Rothbard took it to its logical conclusion, and Hoppe has brought back the same revolutionary vigor that libertarianism originally had. It is a beautiful philosophy that explains both the process of civilization and the effects of egalitarianism perfectly.
All in all I think its is doing well for itself. I've seen a lot of growth in anarcho capitalist circles, with a heavy draw from the fascist crowd (I was a fascist convert myself) thanks to the way in which anarcho capitalism answers all the same questions as Fascism, without the need of a monstrous State.

To continue a little:
If the ideas of time preference explored by Hoppe were the only thing taken from Anarcho Capitalism/Libertarian philosophy, then the world would be a far better place. Just the awareness of the fundamental attribute which determines civilization development is enough to make massive waves throughout the world. Lower the time preference, raise the society.

Respects natural rights and freedom, which is important for individual growth and free societies.. Can be a bit too "individualistic" though, people without healthy community/familial ties tend not to thrive.

Libertarianism is my ideal system, but I've come to the conclusion that massive work is necessary to undo the dramatic changes inflicted upon society by the state before we can construct a viable alternative. Additionally, a libertarian society would not survive if it was full of the hyperindividualists that make up much of the movement at present. I think some degree of "collectivism" is necessary to maintain a functional civilization, although I could do without compulsion.
