Heavy exercises that induce hypertrophy increase the androgen receptors in the muscle tissue. These compete with the receptors in the penis. There is only so much testosterone circulating in the body.
Big muscles drain testosterone. Sexual activity also drains testosterone. How one balances those depends on preferences. But when one aspect is overemphasized, the other suffers.
Bodybuilders go on TRT usually in their 30s. They have so many androgen receptors in their muscles that the natural testosterone production, which is often destroyed from steroid use, can't satisfy. The penis has to compete with that too, so they get impotent.
Too big muscles uses too much of the testosterone budget to allow the penis enough for optimal function(rock hard erections).

Have you been exposed to sexually stimulating visual input? If so, the prostate will work hard to prepare you to reproduce. Without having released in that long, it was probably inflamed a bit.
Either way, it was probably nowhere as bad as with the chronic ejaculators. This is the vicious cycle: Prostate works all the time from visual stimulus, then ejaculation urgency from the stimulation causes masturbation which swells the prostate. New visual stimulation in addition to the already tender prostate from previous ejaculation + doctors advice of ejaculating daily will urge another ejaculation. Since the prostate hasn't had the time to reduce swelling, it will keep increasing. Visual stimulus can override the natural refractory period since it is more extreme than what we encounter in nature, but it depends if the dopamine can overpower the prolactin, which is the hormone responsible for refractory period.
Men with prostate problems report the feeling of a "golf ball" around the perineum area. That is the extremely swollen prostate.
It is unlikely that yours swelled up that much unless you were exposed to a lot of visual stimulus during your abstinence and had erections all the time with penis rubbing on underwear, which is like sexual stimulation.
The erection rubbing the underwear is a huge problem, because it's basically masturbation. So you're involuntarily edging. Usually for the chronic masturbator, he rarely has spontaneous erections. But once a person stops that, erections return furiously and it can become a problem.
The religious saying "guard your eyes" is very wise. Even European women would wear head scarves in the past. Half-naked women is a relatively new phenomenon thanks to americanization. Prostate cancers were not common in the past either, because there was not much visual stimulus in daily life and people were preoccupied with survival first and foremost.
Those are just theories of mine, but when you consider them in relation to the sexual function and how inflammation occurrs from overstimulation, it makes a lot of sense.
