Apparently they made a third album in 2016, how come I've never heard of it?

I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm really surprised such a high-profile duo could put an album out to such relative obscurity.

They dulled so much of their sound regressing into their influences and trying to beat Daft Punk instead of forging their own path. Synthwave and the rest of the french electro scene ended up stealing their thunder in the long run. As for their third album, Woman, the opener is one of the catchiest thing they've ever done, and everything else is forgettable with bad vocals or simply an inferior rehash of past work.

I used to really dig their industrial French house style, before they went into nu-disco not an insult, that's what the genre is literally called. They had a few kinda disco songs like D.A.N.C.E. and DVNO, but they still had that house vibe to them.

I ended up listening to Woman, it sounds like a cheap version of Random Access Memories. Had this album actually come out in the 70's I think it would have been passed hard.

I still don't know of any albums that sound quite like †.
