An algorithm that serves advertisers, not its people, just like Youtube. There's no way an algorithm will know I like a certain bpm if none of the tracks are tagged with specific information like that. Though to be fair, you could auto-tag BPM, much less so for things a bot can't detect.

It worked pretty well for me. I don't use Spotify anymore though because of.. reasons.
