Ok so Ive spent all my time measuring frequency responses of every 5.25 speaker I can find in my house to try and pull a +/- 3 db response curve to ride in the mids so I can mix off a bootleg coattails of avantone mixcubes. Why? Because I'm a cheap asshole. So I've spent $20 bucks on a calibrated mic, and $30 on a Chinese amp to power these shitty speakers. I am determined to find a cheap flat monitor to shove it to the krk assholes. So far all I got is a +/- 5 db auratone clone. Now I'm thinking I should have bought some micca mb42x or nht superzeros. What am I doing with my life?
Anyone got good ideas for some monitors that are cheat code acceptable? Plus studio monitors thread.
