I no longer have the patience to simply sit back and listen to entire albums except my absolute favorites. Even browsing the internet makes it seem like unnecessary background noise and I'm hardly paying attention to it. What do you think?

Lately, I've been listening to music by isolating myself in my room with just VLC running and whatever I'm listening to, in which I can focus more easily on it.

Modern tech and the whole focus on multitasking has really fucked our attention spans big time and basically reduces you to being a bugman who has to keep doing multiple things at once to keep himself busy

Browse the Internet and sometimes read. My attention span kinds of seems like it's going, though. I could listen to extreme metal and read a book at the same time back in high school, but now I find myself turning music off a lot when I'm reading.

I usually listen to music while I'm browsing dead boards or exercising. When it comes to tasks that require concentration though, it just becomes distracting noise. I also avoid listening to music out of boredom, or for the sake of creating mental buzz.
