ITT we do a thought exercise where we come up with different variations of monarchy other than the mainstream/popular ones. Basically take your bog standard monarchy and mod it with something.

>Republican Monarchy

There are two types of affairs, military and civil. The king has absolute power over military affairs which include but are not limited to national defense and waging war. Then you have everything else which is a civil matter. Decrees of this nature (like new laws or new taxes) must go through an elected parliament in a very simple ratification or veto process (one step, yea or nay) and is then passed or returned for revision. The parliament cannot pass any laws of their own. Parliament is only elected by pure democratic vote and lasts for their lifetime but they can also be immediately impeached at any time in their service by pure majority of their constituents. This is an unpaid position and the holder must also find other work. Bribes and donations to holders of office for any reason is strictly forbidden.

As an example of the King's powers being interpreted liberally if there's an (((economic invader))) hiding behind the parliament the king can declare him/them/it a threat to national security and remove that threat through military means. Another example would be a particularly uppity parliament member inciting sedition against the king, he can be declared a threat to national security and removed. Furthermore, the police count under the military branch of affairs, but something like making certain kinds of weapons illegal for citizens would be a civil affair.

How many faggots here are obsessed with having a mix breed or a crowned republic?

I keep seeing threads popping up with disgruntled peons who long for a Venice republic or a parliamentarian government with a crowned mascot. If this is what you want, a representative government with a crown, I cannot change your mind. Of all the places such as /monarchy/, I am surprised to find this as the overruling and popular sentiment.

>Republican monarchy

If it is constitutional, you better have two conditions for an absolute constitutional monarchy. #1. Let the monarch have a big part, or even the sole part in, drafting the constitution. #2. While the monarch is all-powerful as a holy and virtuous throne, let the monarch appoint and choose the prime minister/president of the political bodies. If we're against the idea of big government, why bother expanding this structure? All I see is an endless bureaucracy and political class, not aristocrats, but good-for-nothing politicians.
