It'll take a while before things get less busy. We've got some hearings to attend and new clients lined up, so things will continue to be busy for the foreseeable future.
Speaking of tablets, I've been using my one to sign documents. That way, I don't have to print them off, sign them and scan them back in. It helps to get around the scanner being shit at times.
I was surprised that the scanner behaved long enough for me to scan that new doujinshi in yesterday.

you see. as for many people they try to find new experiences. some people are xtreme sports, other try some new dish everyday while they can or similars.
for me is find new mind challenges and try to overcome them as they grow in complexity overtime (with loads of trial and error btw). now why i do get frustrated? often because "unfair" things that only add nothing to the challenge other than just being unfair for the sake of it. Magic was something new and exciting the first time but as I was able to see their flaws I was unable to ignore them more and more, flaws like Mana flood (draw to many mana cards but no creatures or spells to defend oneself) or mana screw (too many creatures but no mana to play them) in other games is to not draw key cards for a combo all while my oponent is able to play like nothing and stomp me easily. that's why I'll miss so much The Spoils, the game allowed you to overcome bad situations by playing smart in the correct times. HEX, Eternal are good alternatives to Magic but they do so little to change what I think are crucial flaws in the base design, and you can't fix such a dated game like Magic and clones by just adding a couple of new skills every couple of months.

exactly. I can get behind some luck and randomness but when the situation is critical and requires a good planification luck is the last thing you should require to use in this situation.

games that aren't based on Magic? Doomtown, beautiul game based on "politics", preassure the rival and also poker. it was incredible.
Dice Masters is another game I like but the main reason I stick to this one is A) the cute dies are a dirty pleasure of mine, and B) capeshit. Mage Wars is the last one I really enjoy and this is because there's no random draw, all your cards you have it all the time in a physical book so you can pick whatever you need at any given time, in this game preparation and trying to read your rival movements are crucial for victory, now this game has some randomness and this is due all damage is done by rolling dies with 1s, 2s, and 0s. so with 4 dies roll at the same time you have a "perfect" roll if you score a 8 but often you will score 3~5 and that's the media.

Well, I bought a few CDs yesterday, one was a Melon CD that I haven't been able to find on the internet, I'm pretty sure that one of the designs to that punk vocaloid album was based off of one of the band members. Another was that second vocaloid punk covers compilation album that I couldn't find on the internet either. Yoru no Sanpo which is pretty much one of the albums that got me really interested into vocaloid and Captain Mirai's mini non vocaloid album. I also got a Long Vacation album that I'm really interested in because Kera (the main guy from all those CDs I bought from a proxy service a while ago) and Teruo Nakano (P-Model band member Also had a K-On character named after him, ha I'm also planning to get some of his solo works.) are part of the band.
Well, we can only hope for it to come back, I wish you the best with that.
Its good that Doomtown managed to come back then. Just can't get away from those dice, can you. Mage wars sounds kind of interesting though, I don't really know of card games that just let you choose whatever you want, the whole drawing cards thing always seems like a staple to me. Are the dice rolls less BS than the stuff you're complaining about in Magic though?

Eh. the dies are really well done, I mean I love custom stuff and dies. so custom dies is a killer for me. now about the game, kind of good but the bad way Wizkids handles the game with their rullings makes me think about twice if I want to put some more dimes into the game
Dice rolls can still be considered BS but often a dice roll only often delays you for a bit more, as I told you you have a average on damage so for a 4 dies, roll a 3 or a 4 that's ok because that's the average, now if you can roll more excellent, if you roll less, you just need to keep trying again the next round.

I don't really know actually, I've been taking a little break to deal with uni and its probably going to be my last day too. I'm a fan of the Marvel formula, it makes for fun movies. For the past year or so, I've been making my way through the series of movies which started with Iron Man. I believe the next one will be Guardians of the Galaxy 2, though I'm not going to watch it in the cinema. I don't like going there, unless I really want to have teenagers lob popcorn in my general direction and get pissed off that a tall bloke sat directly in front of me blocking the view.
The last movie I watched in the cinema was Kimi No Na Wa, just last Christmas in fact. I went to watch it with friends just for the sheer novelty of watching a subbed anime in the cinema.
