This is an official invitation from the United Boards for Freedom >>>/ubf/ to join our loose federation of freedom.

>What is the UBF?

The UBF is a loose confederation of boards centred around the concept of freedom from moderation.

>What is the purpose of the UBF?

The purpose of the UBF is two-fold. 1. To encourage posting on a UBF member board instead of their larger, no-fun-allowed counterpart for example posting on /vvv/ or /am/ instead of /v/ or /a/, and 2. to encourage the posting of related content between boards to encourage user interaction, increasing the number of UIDs and posts per hour on boards posting a 2nd Amendment thread on both /liberty/ and on /k/

Well /loomis/, what do you think?

 No.905

No, fuck off. Absence of moderation only leads to the creation of shitholes like /int/, where even a mentally challenged child would be ashamed to post. "Freedom from moderation" is a codeword for "slavery to spam".

I shared my thoughts on this in the /boards/ thread. Thank you for stopping by. I'd never intended this board to be heavily moderated but I'm unsure of what the implications of "freedom from moderation". I do not have rules on loomis (though I am still bound by the globals, of course), but I do intend to protect my board from raiders, spammers and so on.

 No.909

Freedom from moderation means that you cannot delete threads because they are "shills", because the thread is off topic, or because you just dislike the content. Spammers and raiders are a different story though

The conditions in your /boards/ post are reasonable, welcome to the UBF /loomis/

Off-topic and stupid content should be deleted. That's the point of moderation, and it's a good thing. Mark my words: nothing good will come of this.

You're right but let's just see what happens. I will not let this board get destroyed in the name of freedom but I consider my users my peers and will not abuse my own position either.

I am considering including a second-tier in the UBF of boards that allow free discussion but retain the right to keep the board on topic. I know that particularly for small boards this is important because 10 off-topic threads can essentially ruin the board.

I will keep you posted ITT if you don't delete it

from /boards/

>Don't buy into it. They're a bunch of faggots who shitpost in existing boards and shill theirs everywhere they go. They want to turn every board into /b/ where the only thing banned is cp and other illegal content. They've been raiding /feedbackv/ to the point every thread has a redirect to /vvv/ and they actually had to word filter it on /v/ since it got so bad. The board owners do nothing but pick fights with people and antagonize people on other board's decreasing their quality while redirecting people who are up in arms over what is most of the time THEIR shitposting to the respective replacement board, /int/ is just a bad knockoff of /b/ anyway.

You just put a target on your back lmao

Yeah it's funny, the /vvv/ spamming has nothing at all to do with me. It is actually /vvv/ doing it on their own and not the UBf

Eat shit, all those other boards were most likely created to subvert attention from the big boards to separated and fuck with 8chans growth, and your shit board contributes to it, im not buying what your shilling.

I wish we could just have an official board rings system that integrated with the top navbar and possibly replaced/reworked the top 25 system

Alas, there are still many things to work on in the site before a such feature is established.

That's some insane projection, considering the selling point of /ubf/ boards was never "get away from low post quality" and always "get away from jackasses who delete posts and hate fun". The divide and conquer shit sounds like something /svidya/ or /polpol/ would do, considering their entire selling point is getting away from us evil low quality posters.

When you ban a person you're telling them you don't want them posting on your board. How can someone ban hundreds of posters and then be surprised when they decide to make boards for themselves?

Nope, I post normally on /co/.

I'm sure it pisses you off that only spam gets deleted there.
