Does anyone know any books, videos, or tutorials that go into rigging/nesting a character in flash? The best I can find only lightly touch on it and never go into how you work in the other views into the model. I don't know if I need to nest them into the symbol or if they should be handled separately as their own models?

I think it's separately; check out "Happy Harry's Huha 2 How-Tos" on youtube. I guess I'm not sure how much detail he goes into though.

Didn't know Harry did tutorials. that's pretty neat, but sadly he does traditional(or tradigital) animation while I'm trying to work more towards digital so those won't really help me all that much.

Oh, I thought he covered all the features in flash-not just the ones he's most apt to use. I never really went through them all myself.

People bag on him for his mediocre drawing a lot but Draw With Jazza is pretty thorough and articulate when it comes to software though.

Yeah, I quickly checked them out to see if that was the case. They cover some foundational things in animation and some flash tools that make animation in that style a little easier. Personally I used to animate a lot traditionally, but I've gotten to the point where I realize I need to take a few more shortcuts to get the workload a little lighter so I can actually finish projects.

Yeah, I've actually watched a few of his videos. It's as you said, very knowledgeable but not terribly skilled at art. Sadly the most he gets into rigging is with a character in one view for a one off skit. I need to design the characters from different angles and to be reusable, as well as how to animate the characters switching those angles. I hate to say it, but I may need to start looking for some MLP rig videos or something…

MLP and Wakfu are animated in a similar manner, Wakfu would likely be almost impossible to find animation guides for, though. At least in English. If you want to do something like Wakfu, It's a great idea.
