Can we try this again? No one really tried when we decided to read 'The Moon is a Harsh Mistress'.

Discussing a chapter every three days or every week sounds good. Anyone interested? Fiction or Non-Fiction, doesn't matter.

'Human Action' by Mises could be a good first book.

I've already read it, but I'd be happy to help anons out who give it a try. It's the single most important work of economics there is to read.

I thought we actually got through the moon is a harsh mistress. What about a book about the new deal written by one of FDR's advisors who later became disillusioned and strongly opposed to the democrats?

You tried to get us to read Wealth of Nations and another book at the same time, no fucking wonder.

He's talking about the reading club we had on this board, several months ago. Not the one on Discord. The one on this board didn't go beyond The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, and even that one was read by only two or three people, I think. The one on Discord also failed, but got assimilated by another one that's going quite well now, one with more modest standards. We've finished The Law, The Second Treatise of Government, Choice and The Ethics of Liberty, as well as half of Democracy - The God that Failed.

I quit exactly because it got assimilated by a discord I will not post in.

We got some reading threads on this board that you can post in. We used to talk a lot about books in the past. Not sure why that stopped, but I'd be happy to revive it.
