God, comics are so fucking lame and gay, I don't think anyone but boomers and numales enjoys that shit anymore, it's like tumblr SJW shit, but for 50-year old men and incel redditors. From a financial standpoint the industry is dead except for the few franchises that have Hollywood Jews shitting out movies for them. Needless to say, manga is much more popular despite not being aimed at international markets and not without reason, it's more varied in it's themes, more fun in it's stupidity, and more mature in it's intellectual message than the same old generic capeshit bullshit.

I completely agree with this, though. I'm sure we're all smart, talented individuals here, and if we can't directly produce libertarian cultural artifacts, then at least we can help indirectly to those who do, assuming we're all interested in furthering the cause.

We had Obama style liberals as the dominant cultural force for almost a decade. They got lazy as they became the establishment so the edgy nazi stuff stirs shit up to mock them. This is also correct. The only one of the generational names which had any sort of meaning was Boomer, as that referred to a very specific sociological phenomenon. Since then, it's become popular to give every generation some kind of meme name, although most of these are arbitrary–we can't even agree where one "generation" ends and another begins.

Not really. I saw the result of study that went around recently: Only 19 percent of the polled Americans had a favorable view of socialism. That's a lot better than a decade ago, despite the demographic shift that's occurring.

I think Americans have absorbed a natural aversion to the label of "socialism"/"communism" through cultural osmosis without understanding the distinction between capitalism and socialism or how either work. Most Americans do not have even a base-level understanding of economics, which is probably due to modern economists using complicated calculus to attempt to divorce themselves from the label of "social science", inadvertently divorcing economics from what it actually is–the study of how humans act to satisfy their own demands in the face of scarcity. A lot of Americans don't support "socialism" in name (either because they themselves don't support it or because they fear the reaction from others) but constantly advocate in favor of interventionist policies/new, more restrictive regulations. The Overton window has shifted so far towards authoritarianism and centralization that most people are socialists in all but name.

I think this is why you see so many Democratic politicians still claiming that they're not socialists, and it's why so many people are vulnerable to being absorbed into the socialist camp. When they are dissatisfied with the current political/economic climate, they are attracted to "socialism" in name as a kind of maverick, which "capitalist" propaganda had taught them to fear. It doesn't help that neocons have managed to co-opt the label "capitalism" into meaning using government subsidies to support monopolies, supporting the unabated right of companies to dump pollutants into a river they don't own, bombing random people overseas in the name of "national security", or using eminent domain to confiscate land from random people and give it to companies. Within this narrative, "socialism" is cast as the alternative to the current system, which is erroneously labeled "capitalism".
