 No.32279>>32289 >>32463 [Watch Thread][Show All Posts]

Just post whatever you'd like to share.

I've got some things I want to share but I don't know where they should go so I'm building this brand new thread for them.

1:

>when i was young my mum always used to wander off without me whenever I got sidetracked while shopping or whatever in public

>it's messed me up ever since

>whenever I'm out with people I always have to keep checking where they are and make sure they're still with me etc

>not sure how to forgive her, remember once shouting at her for it when I was but a wee lad but she didn't take any notice and continues to do it to this day

2:

>today at work with dad

>hand him a lump hammer he asked for

>as soon as I hand him it he brings it back to hit something and almost cracked me right in the face

>either out of anger or adrenaline I kick a stool across the yard and start walking to try and calm myself down

>dad asks what's wrong and whether he hit me (an odd thing to ask, like he was aware he was being reckless?)

>despite having every right to be angry at him, I forgive him and say he had just scared me is all

>forgiving him actually felt a lot better than having a go at him

Though he does seem to do this a lot, completely disregards my safety out of anger or whatever.

I have a hard time getting along with people because I have what many people would call a "British" or a "mortician's" sense of humor - It's a dark and laconic style that tends to rub people the wrong way if they don't already know me.

Any other anons encounter this? How did you deal with it?

Beyond age 12 would work, technically, assuming you're older than 12 and looking back. However, "before age 12" is more semantically sound, as it clears up that you are, in fact, older than 12 and looking into the past.

I realised recently that i was broken

it didn't happen over night as if a highly traumatic event happened, no

it just happened over the years

i used to be a normal boy with a lot of hope for the future, but slowly my school grades when i was very young (10 yo) started to heavily drop because of something a child couldn't really have changed. it got worse really fast, to a point where it was impossible to recover from (think 7 years of not studying at all from 10yo to 17). Naturally after 5 long years i dropped school because of it. At this point i stopped going with school friends, not that it matters a lot to me because i do enjoy being alone more.

I had set myself a goal which would be to join the army once i was 17.5 years old (minimum age here), it's something that always interested me and i thought it could fix my situation. After starting doing a lot of jogging outside i came to the realisation that my once very bad eyesight got extremely worse while i spent two years in my house never going out. As i was constantly looking at a very close screen i didn't notice it, but jogging often (mostly at night making things worse) showed to me how bad it had become. I don't think there much thing that feel worse than seeing your own eyesight decay in an extremely short time, most importantly it's extremely frustrating to not be able to identify things 10 meters away from you when you used to be able to identify things up to 100 meters. This made me lose any hope i had in joining the army.

I recently decided to look up for jobs that dont require much skill, like postman. It's a type of job that fit me pretty well. After a few research i found out that it required certain qualifications, certain basic qualifications that i do not possess because i left school extremely soon (so soon that it was illegal at the time).

You know what's worse? Even though most of the postman are on bicycles, the job requires you to have a specific driver's license. It requires you to have the driver license that allows you to drive cars under 3.5t, which i cannot obtain because of my extremely bad eyesight.

I don't know what to do anymore. I find myself to fantasize about having a romantic relationship everytime i go sleep. In fact, it became the only way for me to fall asleep. I have no motivations to do anything anymore, i don't know what to do, i'm not satisfied with my situation but at the same time i'm scared to do anything. I used to at least find relief on my computer by watching animes, but i'm not even motivated enough to watch a whole 25 minute episodes even if it's my favorite anime. I'm not sad nor depressed, i'm just very desesperate and frustrated. I wouldn't even care about my very bad situation if i had good eyesight. I can't even enjoy good landscape because of how blurry everything is. The only reason i don't spend all day in bed is because listening to music keeps my mind distracted of everything. It's sort of a life support.

my father proposed me to abandon completely my computer and go live with him, as if that would suddently motivate me to search for jobs and actually allow me to get one

life is so hard, i just want a break

so many people expecting me to find a job then suddenly go out every day

it's hard, people tell me that im stuck there because i refuse to get out of my comfort zone, but whats comfortable about any of this?

Alright anon, get this through your head first, you have myopia(most likely), it gets worse with time yeah and staying inside DOES NOT contribute to it progressing, that's an old myth made up by parents.

With that said, are you really sure that the army wouldn't take you? I mean, glasses and contacts are a thing. Also, about the postman thing, can't you go back to school at least? Why don't you learn to code? That's something you can do at home.

I thought I'd make a long-winded post but I actually don't have that much to say, cheer up!(That's all that I have in mind at the moment)

>you have myopia(most likely),

Yes i know i do have myopia, i also was born with bad eyesight and an extremely bad left eye. The only things i see with my left eye are the things out of my right eye point of view. Like right now, even though im in front of my screen situated in the middle of it, i only see it with my right eye

> staying inside DOES NOT contribute to it progressin

you got it wrong, i was just saying that inside you do not notice your eyesight decay as there is often no far away object to look at (most importantly no far away text to read)

>With that said, are you really sure that the army wouldn't take you?

I have a really awful eyesight and the army is a job that is very kind to the people with the slightest sight problem. During the night i'm not able to make the difference between a pole and a human at 15 meters, and can identify faces up to 3 meters (during the day it's about double that).

I do wear glasses, but i still see everything blurry. Just less blurry.

The postman thing is already dead as i need a driver's license

i do know a bit how to code for a very few languages, but coding is not a job that i would find interesting. i like coding as a passion, as in coding a SA:MP server for the sake of it or doing a GTA V .asi script, i wouldnt like coding as in staying at a desktop all day

ideally i'd find a simple job that pays decently, fuck if it's cleaning a restaurant in the night or garbage collector at least it's straight forward

That's totally normal to regret things like that. I'm guilty of it, even.

The fact is, you're just not "there" yet with your interpersonal skills, and there's nothing you could have done, though. I don't mean that as a dig, "talking to people" is a learned skill like any other. I wouldn't be mad at a primary school kid if they didn't know calculus.

I can help you out though, and maybe make the next meeting a little more productive. Most people just adore talking about themselves. You can lead a conversation pretty easily by just asking a bunch of open-ended questions. Open-ended here, meaning "questions that require a longer answer than 'yes/no'."

Ask them what their favorite game is. Ask them what about it. Maybe ask about a specific thing they said that you didn't quite get (oven just pretend to not quite get). You could probably relate that to Overwatch, and before you know it, you and them are having a full conversation without you really having to talk at all.

what do you guys think about suicide?

more specifically, what do you guys think about killing yourself?

Normal suicide is boring like masturbation. Why not make it more intresting by getting someone else involved? If I wanted to die it would significantly more fun, and interesting to make someone else a murderer.

An interesting question. For context's sake and certainly not because I'd like a hug I'll tell you that I'm clinically diagnosed manic depressive, and I'm also on the autism spectrum.

I know, I'm r9k incarnate. Pretty neat, huh?

Anyways, to loop back around to your question: despite the fact that I have attempted it a few times, my views on suicide are that it's a selfish act. It's selfish, because I could otherwise be places like here, or blahtherapy, or something and sharing myself and maybe, just maybe, helping elevate someone else.

I wouldn't take someone else taking their life as disrespectful, because shittiness is entirely subjective. The worst day of my life might only be a little crap to someone else, or vice versa.

Make sure you are not a social retard.

"Tell me about yourself" should not be answered with some kind of existential philosophical answer or a simplistic "I am me".

You should use it as an opportunity to sell yourself and talk about your skills, education, work ethic and work experience.

Also prepare for the common interview type questions.

Just google common interview questions or common behavioral interview questions.

The technical questions, should be simple enough if you know your stuff.

I guess other than that, is try and be relaxed and confident. Also wear a suit.

Know your resume inside and out, as well as some asides about how you work in groups, handle pressure and conflict, etc. Don't even look at your phone from the moment you enter the building until the moment you leave. Shave. Try and smile when talking, don't be a stone faced robot. Show up to the appointment between 10 and 20 minutes early. Ask questions about the job or company. Take notes. Sit up straight. Stand up when shaking the interviewer's hand. If you're a person who talks with their hands, tone it down a little but don't be statue still. Thank the interviewer for their time when the interview is over.

Overall, be clean, calm, and professional, but not stoic or overly reserved. Another important point is to relax. Take your time in finding the right words if you need to.

You'll be fine, friend.

And for the love of god don't do pic related. It's tacky and ostentatious. Just dress in a suit with a mute tie and preferably a white shirt. And don't wear white socks with slacks and dress shoes. Ever.

Don't forget to write/email the employer thanking them for the interview. It shows consideration and professionalism

Tfw you're unemployed, nearing your 30's and you suffer from really harsh anxiety in normal situations in life. I've been wondering what went wrong when i was a kid. Sometimes i don't even care anymore, i've become cynical and hostile towards other people. Haven't assaulted anyone other than verbally for years now. Makes me wonder will i ever be able to fix this. Propably too normalfriend stuff for this board.

Thank god for oxazepam.

Have you been raised by a single mother?

Nope. My parents broke up when i was 11, and i stayed at both places. It's not that, i'm just afraid of other people. No sexual abuse in childhood either, bullying ofc. Everyone endures that.
