So I live in the US and the antique laws here are basically any gun that is a muzzleloader or any gun that uses a type of cartridge that is no longer manufactured (at least not in the US). The cutoff year is 1898.

Pic related is a Bergmann No. 5/1897. It uses 7.8mm Bergmann, which is no longer in production. Also, is there any way I could go up to a gunsmithing company and have them make a replica of this gun + the ammunition? I don't want to buy a used old one since those could be defective. And btw, I'm asking this because I'm a prohibited person who likes guns.

First off, replicas aren't antiques. It has to have actually been manufactured before 12/31/1898 to count.

Secondly, guns don't just magically become defective just because they're old. As long as it's well-maintained, a gun from the 1890s is perfectly safe to fire (provided the ammunition is within spec).

Third,

a good blackpowder revolver is the way to go. Look for one that has a strap across the top of the cylinder – many don't, because it's cheaper, and the smaller calibers didn't really need them back in the day when you could get your local blacksmith to whip up a replacement frame, no paperwork.

Until that's is cleared, your life is pain. Guns are only a part of that condition, but its one we can't dig you out of.

I know, but then again I'm not prohibited because I'm a felon but because I'm suffering from mental illness. I like guns, I respect gun rights, but most people don't respect mine unfortunately. Like Ben Franklin said, those who are willing to sacrifice freedom for safety deserve neither freedom nor safety. I think that statement is true and is why I'm a libertarian.
