Take a look at the PDF. I am very confused what they are trying to delineate here. IT appears that the ninth ruled that having a gun does not constitute grounds for a search under the 4th. So I guess you can tell police to shove off the next time they get a tip about you having a possession of a gun.
Basic summary:

SC ruling is ambigous, depending on time and context yes. Stopping someone on not having the license to carry however… Appears to be an unresolved issue.
