because he was an idiot. common sense tells you dont get suspended license, don't go more than 5 mph over, do these and you wont be pulled over. if you are pulled over for minor speeding, with a good license you can legally tell the officer no to a search, and if he pushes it, but your illegal shit is outta sight before search, then he has no reasonable suspicion to use in court meaning his evidence is illegally obtained and thus is not able to be used in the court room, meaning fuck him you just got out of what you were caught doing legally, got him for wrongful arrest as no charge to stick you with, and got him to pay out the ass so you now have money for your speeding ticket. why do you either a leave it where it is seen by the cop, or b say yes to a search? the only legal reason for the search was that obsessive speeding combined with suspended license is an automatic arrestable crime.

Even potheads know not to break more than one law at a time.
