Our politicians and media pushed incredibly hard for us to join the EU, and the people actually voted to join the EU, because the young and cowardly wanted a way out of the country as easily as possible, and the Yugo-nostalgics are faggots incapable of thought, aside from what the TV tells them. Only, after we joined the EU, which was supposed to bring financial gains and advancement, we ended up being one of the few countries that break even, or even contribute more money than they receive back. More young people run from the problems of the country instead of fighting to fix them, and then they gloat about how they work six jobs in Germany to barely make a living, thinking they're better than the rest of us. The politicians think our biggest problems are economic, and not demographic, and so they cuck more, and more to the EU, hoping for gibs which will never come, since we're not (((diverse))) or jewish enough. My family and I went to bomb shelter when it all started. "Shelter" was a basement in our building. And if bomb by any chance hit that building ten floors of concrete and metal would collapse on 100+ people down there. It was smelly, wet, overcrowded etc. (un)Luckily we only went there at night. So, on third day we said "fuck it" and returned to our flat - we spent the rest of the war doing what we usually do.

I could see most of the capital city from my window, so I saw some of the war, mostly at night. I saw AAA defense shooting (and hitting nothing) from nearby forest, I once saw a bright yellow flash in the sky, I think AA hit a missile that time. I would see planes at night too, they looked like moving stars to me, barely observable. I once saw, during day time, when they hit power plant which was miles away. That bombing was kinda interesting to me as a kid - you see the blastwave and sudden fire but few seconds later the thundering sound comes and that was much scarier. I saw soldiers positioned on the roof near my place, maybe 150m away, they had Igla or Strela MANPAD in their hands. Every day I heard "explosions" until someone explained to me that it's just a plane breaking sound barrier.

It could have been much worse, I guess.
