I am a Christian. I come respectfully to ask for the best arguments Muslims have against Christianity. I am not looking to disprove anyone or try debunk Islam. I only want to have a better understanding of the Islamic viewpoint. Thank you friends.

I hope board owner doesn’t lock this and send you to the trini thread, but please give the equivalent argument against us. Because I’d like to know what you think.

Here’s what I think are compelling arguments:

Muslims use a liturgical language. Christians don’t bother learning Greek or Hebrew or Latin to read the old texts. Muslims do often learn Classical Arabic and other dialects in order to understand the Quran and other historical records.

Christians often pray not to God, but pray for favors. They also do not believe in one God, but merely in a pantheon of Gods, of which “God” and “Jesus” are merely their gods of choice. Kind of like how jews believe they are the chosen people, or how nazis sometimes worship Odin semi ironically. Muslims believe there is and only was one God and other people are just potential Muslims who have been ignorant (willfully or otherwise) of God (pronounced Allah)

You want to unify Abrahamism? here go. I'm so sick of this argument.

Christianity and Islam are the same religion seen from different perspectives.

Christians think God is unified in a trinity, The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. The Father is the one unknowable god. The Son is the Image of the father and is also the father. The Holy spirit Are Gods angels that are also God. Jesus Christ was Born from virgin Mary through his angels(the holy spirit) who was BOTH Mother of Man AND Mother of God because Jesus was the human form of the Son which is christ.

Thus, Christians and Muslims need to Understand Jesus is not Equal to god, but the human form of the image of god, that every person should be if they want to be accepted into heaven

Muslims see god as only god and gods angels are separate from god.

Muslims are correct in saying man cannot have personal relationship with god who is unknowable, and can only have communication with god through divine revelation or an angel. but Muslims must understand that gods angels are actually the holy spirit, it is the way god communicates with us all and the holy spirit too is part of god and so are we.

Through both the Bible & Quran, the one true God of Abraham has shown his chosen the pathway to salvation.

I pray as many people of the book find salvation before the Revelation. Godbless

Your unification attempt just makes you a disbeliever according to both religions. Abrahamism doesn't need a unification or any of what you just wrote, since it already exists in the form of Islam. Christians just need to get rid of all their innovated doctrines.

According to Islam, God made convenants with multiple nations over time. When an older nation abandoned or edited their convenant, a newer nation was given one. The people who were given these religions to preach are known as prophets or messengers.

According to Islam, Christianity is one of those religions where people messed with it for personal gain. That's why you'll see Muslims who don't have nice opinions on people like Paul.

There's one more important point when talking about the lineage of Abrahamic religions from Islam's perspective. Islam is supposed to be the last one. We're explicitly told that there won't be any more prophets or messengers.

Aside from that Islam and Christianity have a lot in common. Jesus (AS) is still an important person, and is still known as the Messiah, and he'll still come back to kill the Antichrist. We just don't believe he's the son of God.

Well we both believe Jesus (a.s) is the word of God made flesh born of a virgin, but I don't see how that makes him God anymore than Adam is.

>Muslims must understand that gods angels are actually the holy spirit

We believe that the chief archangel, Gabriel is the holy spirit. That's what most muslim commentators say.

Christianity is limited to the economy of salvation, because it forgot its metaphysical roots. It dropped gnosis, that was developped by the scholastics, the ordos templis (and other secret orders) and the first christians.

Islam have kept this esoteric components, through cufism. That makes islam a complete tradition, which is not Christianity.

So metaphysically, Islam is far far more profund than christianity (technically, christianity is profund too, but you have to do all the work from the start of searching for the old books, the real heart of christianity that have been lost, not making mistakes etc… that's very hard).

On the matter of Jesus being a god, well, there is one ultimate god which is the center of everything. Trinity is a mistake. The metaphysical definition of infinite, which is the most important characteristic of god is the absence of limit. That's why a mathematical sequence cannot be called infinite as it is in modern mathematics, because the definition of the sequence is a constraint, and a contraint is a limit, thus going out of the definition of metaphysical infinite (a more appropriate word would be "undefined").

Therefore, defining a trinity, with multiple part taking together making one god is logically false. Because if makes the trinity none infinite.

Finally, you shall chose islam because islam is the religion of the end of the world. That's why it has such an preeminent position in the middle of other traditions (corrected obviously). That's why staying a chritian even if you follow you true original metaphysical roots would not be sufficient.

By the way, you don't have to start other in Islam, the road is already here, so that's far easier to have a real profund spirituality.

Most people that god the spiritual light lightened in their heart first chose buddhism, but then and finally end up in islam and cufism. Because that's the easiest door to initiation.

The gospels have different christologies.

Mark had a very different understanding of who Jesus was (more in line with judaism) than John who came 40 years later and tried to advocate Jesus to the greek philosophers.

Some of these are inaccurate but you should compare Muhammad (pbuh) to Moses (pbuh) and see that in reality they are similar.

Deuteronomy 18:15-19 English Standard Version (ESV)

A New Prophet like Moses

15 “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen— 16 just as you desired of the Lord your God at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, ‘Let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God or see this great fire any more, lest I die.’ 17 And the Lord said to me, ‘They are right in what they have spoken. 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. 19 And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him.

Compared to Moses? Ok.

Book of Numbers 31:17

Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.

Hmmm, almost like Moses and his god was no good. The Old testament is simply replete with the gods acts of sheer depravity and madness.
