What is the scholarly ruling on steroids my friends?
I watched this talk by Feiz Muhammad but I don't find his arguments against them convincing.
Testosterone injections are bio-identical to our naturally produced testosterone, the advantage is we can control the level.
He says doing this is going against the creation of Allah, but such simple logic could be used to prohibit all sorts of things we do to our bodies or put in our bodies. Tylenol is more unnatural than testosterone, and is actually more deadly.
What's wrong with wanting to be stronger, muscular, faster, more motivated and energized, have a better libido and better quality of life? Testosterone is like the fountain of youth.

Steroids do serious damage to your body, putting you at greater risk of heart attack, stopping your body's natural testosterone production, depression, making you impotent. It's pretty clear that it's detrimental to your body, steroids don't make you that much stronger and in fact reduce the amount of work you can get out of the muscle mass you have in exchange for giving you more muscle mass. Natty body builders are healthier and stronger.

If you don't have a medical NEED for testosterone injection I don't think you can use it. Because there's some bad side effects. I assume that you have 2 perfectly healthy testicles that do their job, so keep natural.

The person who spoke previously does know what they talk about, but has not formulated it in the technical terms you seem to wish for.
Since what you describe your wishes to be is mostly related to power and dominance, the easiest way to reach your goals is to read on practical psychology and leadership.

I don't think steroids are haram. They're not an intoxicant.
But, I definitely wouldn't recommend supplementing testosterone if you have a healthy male endocrine system. Talk to a medical professional if you have reason to suspect your testosterone is low… take it from a trans girl, this hormone stuff is risky bizz.

Steroids are neutral, just depends how you use them. Dumbies shouldn't touch them, if you're strict and disciplined you will do fine.

Low probability side effects that can be easily managed/avoided aren't sufficient arguments. Food and exercise have side effects too.
What is haram about them, specifically?

These are not low probability
Your body automatically regulates testosterone to optimal levels.
If your testosterone input is not at the level required by your body, then:
If the testosterone is too low, you get, among other things, erectile dysfunction
If the testosterone input is too high, you're thrashing your heart and personality.
Work out, and as I said before, if you want to be dominant, read psychology. No use for large muscles if you're mentally weak.

Before steroids I was an atheist and after using steroids I was a Muslim, so take that what you will. Part of it was just growin up but another part is definitely aggression.
Like the other anon said, Mohammad Hijab is definitely a steroid user (and were a lot of other Muslims if you want to do the research lol)
Stay away from them. Narcissism.

They do raise your blood pressure. I was borderline hypertensive. I felt like I was being pricked by needles. Since stopping them my heart rate has gone down from 60s back into the 50s.
Even protein powder and creative are haram. If you doubt me then just look of the videos of more educated Muslims burning drugs (like confiscated Marlboro cigarettes). Surely they know why they are haram. Probably since it is manufactured and unnatural and filled with contaminants. >>30272
I can confirm all of this. When i started using steroids the first few weeks not a moment, not a MOMENT passed without myself considering jumping off the nearest tower. However like I said it may have just been immaturity and unbelief that led me to these thoughts. Steroids didn’t help though, I got awful bacne and my face was very oiley.

things aren't haram because they make your skin oily, or give you 'side effects' that are easily countered.
I'm not talking about doing pro-bodybuilder doses that are actually very hard to manage. But mild doses that can be run long-term with no issues, totally different things.
Also just by mere principle risk doesn't equate with evil. Climbing mountains, surfing, and driving on the highway is risky, you can get handicapped or killed. etc. Doesn't make them a moral evil that must be avoided.

Uhh steroids have been shown to relieve depression, and oily skin is really easy to counter. I was naturally prone to acne as a teenager, and have perfect skin on steroids.
