Anyways, our "personal whims" don't matter when it comes to rulings. Instead of throwing out fatwas by yourself, study and listen to what the actual scholars have said about this. (Even if your own thoughts somewhat match the right rulings).

A revert doesn't need to be circumcised to accept Islam. But after he reverts, he should circumcise. Unless there are serious health risks. In the case of women, however, it is not as important.

Did you even check the sources I linked before? Nowadays, circumcision is easier than ever. There are professional doctors out there that do it. And there are clear rulings that say what to do if the revert has serious medical conditions or other complications. If a revert is asking about it, our duty is to show him what the scholars said(by sending them actual information like I did). What they do after that is up to them. But if you tell them whatever comes to your mind, remember that the burden will fall on you as well if he is misguided(God forbid). Matters like this are not as light as people nowadays make them out to be. But, Mashallah, some reverts nowadays are even more devoted than most people growing up in a muslim family and generally, they like to do their research.

There is difference of opinion on the issue. The Hanafis and Malikis say that it is an emphasized sunnah, while the Shafi'is and Hanbalis generally say it is wajib.

Ibrahim pbuh was circumcised. To me, it represents the strongest covenant we can make with Allah, as it represents us shedding our carnal desires and seperating us from the animals but that's just symbolic to me.
