No, it's clear in Quran that God doesn't want or need anything for people rather the message has always been we need Him in order to stay guided from all the terrible things that can sway the human nature….He doesn't NEED our prayer, totally up to the human to listen or not

Allah is not like anything in creation so it has no desires nor dislikes, your not really understanding the point of Quran, its not that Allah doesn't "need" this or that, it's that Allah doesn't even want nor not-want it. Allah is beyond preferences, desires, needs and interests. It is not "personable" nor a person or a type of being, or relatable he is not anthropomorphic so stop trying to force IT into a box. It's more like the absolute principle of reality, beyond words and prophecies, and it has no partners nor worshipers. How can anyone worship something absolutely beyond their comprehension? No one even partially understands Allah. What we can only say is negatives
